Metalpause - Steven Seagal should have been here but I get my Seagal fix watching A&E's LAWMAN so he really hasn't left in my eyes.  Hilarious show, check it out if you got a chance.

Hobbs - Wrong hobbs, Ford needs to comeback to some Paul Newman Road to Perdition type roles or something.  Crosing Over is good you say?  I'll take you at your word on it, I have no ida what that is or what his nexxt one is either.  YOu sure they weren't straight to DVD?  Of course we would go to jail for not paying our taxes man but we ain't cool like Wesley Snipes.  Do you make ass kicking movies?  I don't so I'm not cool like Snipes.  Besides I didnt say he shouldn't pay his taxes, I said don't send him to jail and set up a payment plan.  Perhaps he should make movies as some sort of community service, win win for everyone.

Slater was cool man, Gleaming the Cube?  The skateboarding flick, those were the days.  Now I remembered Airborne not starring slater but it was a rollerblade film.  Ever seen that?  That's oldschool, saw a bit the other day on ABC family.  WTF am i talking about?  I'm sorry Hobbs I'm rambling now.

Janson - Paul Reubens had a career as Pee Wee till the cops took it away from him.  He was in some other stuff too, Mystery Men.  Can't remember anything else.  Maybe he didn't have one after all, hmmmmmm..

Costner on the other hand, aside from his efforts out in the ocean like SuperRich mentioned, was in a couple of flicks where he was the lead.  Swing Vote, Mr. Brooks.  Those are recent flicks, well maybe Brooks doesn't count cause he had Dane Cook in that, Cook killed Costner's comeback probably.  What the hell I'll put him on the next one I do I promise.

FFT - Never seen that Ford thing you mentioned, gonna have to youttube it later. He probably was drunk.

Kara my lady, I thank u.

Everyone else I left out, I thanked you on the first comment I left but I'll do it again anyways, thanks, always nice to hear from you fine folks.  Now excuse me I have to go watch The Wizards pick John Wall as the # pick to see if that will breath life into DC basketball.  Good day.

Lets just hope the Washington Wizards leave their firearms at home this year. Or at the very least check them in at the door. :)

I'm really glad Michael Keaton is on this list- and that he made number 1 at that. He hasn't been totally MIA. He did the movie, White Noise and the reputable TV series called, The Company with Chris O'Donnell (Also of Batman alumni).

I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that one day he might reprise the role of Bruce Wayne in a Batman Beyond live action movie. I believe he actually said he'd be interested in that. How awesome would that be?!

krathwardroid 6/24/2010 5:51:54 PM

Yes, I agree with some of this list.

Carrie Anne-Moss has stated she no longer wants to do action flicks after The Matrix films. The injuries she sustained there were apparently too much.

Did Barry Pepper not do a good job in The 25th Hour and Seven Pounds? And remember he did voice work as the protagonist in the video game Prototype, so genre fare isn't that far behind him.

Harrison Ford will come back, no problem.

Paul Reubens has appeared more than expected of late, particularly as Pee-Wee Herman.

JCVD definitely needs a comeback, and I mean now! His talent is not one that should be wasted on straight-to-DVD films.

Christian Slater might benefit from being cast in a future Marvel or DC movie. It has helped other actors.

Val Kilmer does need to lose some weight and get back into the game.

Michael Keaton... ditto, except for the "losing weight" part.

Wesley Snipes needs to make Blade 4... and I mean do it better than Blade: Trinity. What the hell were they thinking when they made that movie?

And as for Cuba Gooding Jr., I really don't know what to suggest for this guy. I didn't have to watch Daddy Day Camp to know it was shit.

HONORABLE MENTION

Lance Henriksen. I know he's been doing voice work for Bioware games - Mass Effect and Star Wars: The Old Republic - but where else has he been? He was the one who made Alien Vs. Predator tolerable to watch. He definitely needs to come back with something awesome.

ANOTHER HONORABLE MENTION

And while I'm at it, where is Keith David? Time for an actual Thing sequel, anyone? Let's hope they go that route after the new prequel is released.

Recently read that Val Kilmer's neighbors in New Mexico hate him for remarks he made about Vietnam vets, poor uneducated people, and several other topics.  Don't know the truth of it all but the article made him seem like a nutcase.  Couple that with all the things I've read about him being a diva on the set of movies and his prodigious weight gain have dimmed my appreciation for an actor that I have liked for a long time.

I would love to see Carrie Ann Moss and Barry Pepper in something decent.  The rest of the list I don't really care about.

Tonebone 6/24/2010 10:30:04 PM

I sort of agree with the list. I mean, I am not sure if the term "comeback" is necessary for some of these. Everyone knows who Michael Keaton is. Eveyrone knows Harrison Ford. Sure, the projects don't come like they used to. And haven't really been Beetlejuice or Indy/SW like. But they I can't really say (at least for me personally) they are out of the public conscious.

Now I can def agree with Snipes, JCVD and Cuba.

I could have sworn Barry Pepper was in something recently and I couldn't put a name to the face.

And to the poster about being the only one seeing Christian Slater in The Forgotten? You weren't. I thought it was a decent show, though the it following Lost was a big part of why I caught a handful of episodes
