I agree with Aegrant! Isn't it legally required that there is one and only one major black role per trilogy? :-)

I still remember a line from one of Richard Pryor's comedy albums. After seeing Logan's Run and the first Star Wars, he said, "They don't plan on no brothas bein' around in the future!"

So, no actors of color on this list??

axia777 11/20/2012 10:20:41 AM

This list is bad ass and i approve of all the actors on it.  What could they do?  That is up for the new writers.  I could see Tim Roth playing a freaking awesome bounty hunter though.  Or a mean ruthless Sith.  Roth is always ruthless though so that all goes without saying.

Wiseguy, you are correct.  The actors must be chosen according to the roles, first and foremost the story must be served.  However since no story has been written yet, no characters developed, there's no harm in playing the Hollywood version of Fantasy Football.

Moneyfoot:  Cuba Gooding as Luke, Queen Latifah as Leia, Chris Rock as Han, Snoop Dogg as Chewbacca, Tony Cox as Yoda.  P. Diddy as the Emporer

Can't post the link here so go to YouTube and look up Darth L. Jackson

@FerretJohn - Great list. Well done.

I like to play Fantasy Football for picking actors (since I live in Chicago and my team looks to be ending its season early this year), that's why I posted my list and I had a fun 15 minutes working on it.

I think we should all Boycott this new "Star Wars" movie so that the rights revert to Marvel!!!

That is right, isn't it...? ;)

PS - if they put Han back in carbonite, I could totally pull it off. People say that I rocked it this past Halloween.

Ok, I never want to hear the names Chris Pine, Topher Grace or Jamie Foxx mentioned in the same sentence as Star Wars again.  BLAH.

I like the list above except for Paul Giamati.  As much as I like the guy I don't see him being in Star Wars.  Helen would make an excellent Sith if they went that way.

I don't know why, but Star Wars and English accents just go together.  They make people sound wiser and more Shakespearean.

I here by nominate Marion Cotillarda and Joseph Gordon-Levitt for the parts of Jaina and Jacen Solo if they do in fact use the twins as characters. They are the perfect age for the New Jedi Order and they are both amazing actors.  Can you see Joseph Gordon-Levitt going dark side and becoming a Sith Lord?  Talk about intense and bad ass.

@axia777 Lucas and Co. has said that the EU in the books, video games, and comics is not canon and have nothing to do with the movies. So that means the inclusion of the Solo twins in the new trilogy is unlikely.
