Scr3w half of those.  Teknoman (Tekkaman Blade) and Ronin Warriors need a reboot, and heck, throw in Voltron and Thundercats in for good measure.

I love writing these articles to see other suggestions and input (and things I really wish I would've added).

@cursedjay: Man, we debated about Berserk hardcore, but I think we decided that it needed to be "continued" and not neccessarily "rebooted," because they definitely needed to finish it.

@Dazzler:  I'm not going to lie, I did think about putting Street Fighter on here.  But I'm biased, I love Street Fighter.

As for Sailor Moon, I pretty much agree with everyone... except the thought of them using the original character designs terrify me, but it would be funny as hell to see.  I also agree with Vampire Hunter D and can't believe that I didn't think of that in the first place.

The only one on the list I REALLY agree with is Flame of Recca only because I felt the anime completely and utterly failed at a proper adaptation of the source material.

I completely agree with Jaws and Theman. Vampire Hunter D is in need of some serious love. Props to Briana for admitting the omission.

Naruto doesnt need a reboot just better filler. Since it is to popular to not be on TV.

Gundam feels like a somewhat endless reboot.

Inuyasha would have worked better if they had waited five or more years and then Started from scratch.

Berserk shouldn't really be mention since it seems the manga isnt progressing that fast. Unless you just want story arc batches(ala full metal panic). I say wait till the manga is done and do it right from start to finish.

Sailor Moon is a slightly odd property I read on another site the company believes its ready for a global relaunch of the old series. But there plan is not to relaunch it in north america but in Italy.

But maybe  some of these shows will have a reboot, or other shows. If holywood hs taught us anything you cant go to the well one to many times. But the ratings for fullmetal alchemist havent been that great in japan. I assume that is partialy the inspiration for this article.

Nobody's mentioned "Those Who Hunt Elves"? It had a solid run back in the late-'90s (with 24 episodes spread out over two seasons), but with 22 volumes worth of manga (running well after the anime ended), it absolutely deserves a 52-episode reboot (especially given Yu Yagami's knack for taking popular Eastern and Western folklore and turning it on its' ear).

Sorcerer Hunters also deserves a reboot (especially given the weak ending- the OVA didn't add much, either). With 13 volumes worth of manga (not counting the 2004 one-shot sequel), it's got more than enough material for a 26 or 39 episode relaunch (especially since the manga itself helps flesh out the history of the Spoolner continent and Carrot's parents).

Nadesico also deserves a reboot, but given that the anime never really took itself seriously (and fell to pieces after 1998's "I'm Ruri And You're Not" movie), coupled with the fact that the original manga pales greatly in comparison, I'm not exactly sure how I'd go about reviving the series (save for a more satisfying ending and more sci-fi pop culture references).

Oddly enough, all three of those series had Keiji Gotoh as character designer (and debuted within a three-year time span, from 1995-1997).

I would love to see Bastard OVA

I would love to have a reworking of  The Heroic Legend of Arslan (Arslan Senki), some sort of conclusion to the series would be nice.

A reworking Yokohama Kaidashi Kikō by Studio Ghibli would also be great as it fit the style of the lesser known titles.

I know these 'list' articles are just filler because you need new content everyday but this one is truly awful.

Sailor Moon? Seriously? This show didn't need to exist in the first place but if you're looking for an updated version, try Pretty Cure. Sure it's retarded crap for little girls but so was Sailor Moon.

Gundam? Gundam gets a reboot every 2 years and SEED hit just about all the themes of the original series.

What would you do with an Inuyasha or Naruto 'reboot' besides cut out a lot of filler? A series based on Sesshoumaru would be most welcome though.

Something needs a reboot if and only if it was a good premise that was poorly executed. Things that need a reboot:

The United States of America

Scrapped Princess

Macross!!!!! How could you not put Macross on this list?
