Yes! I've been waiting for this list. Please tell me this is Part 1 of an ongoing series. There are so many openers (and closers) that can be included on this list. Here are some suggestions if you do a follow up:

Witchblade Op 1: (This opening should be rated PG-13 LOL)

Gatchaman (FTW! This one screams action movie opening)

Deathnote (both openings were good)

Berserk (Don't know why (no pun intended) this one didn't make this list)

GaoGaiGar (The theme alone draws you in)

Speedgrapher (Although the US music fits the tone slightly beter than Girls on Film ironically)

Wolf's Rain (Stray really fit the opener here)

Godannar (Again, the way he sings that theme is worth it alone)

BECK (Another one where the song fit opening)

Mazinkaiser (Another one that looks like a movie opening)

I hope this was enough to convince you this list deserves a series.

BECK and Tsukuyomi Moon Phase defintiely top my list. I always dug Kannagi's too.

Tenjho Tenge's "BOMB A HEAD V" isn't here?  The song alone is epic...even though it's technically an old song.  You're missing the "Monster" opening as well.

 Another good one is from the under-appreciated anime Kaiba.

 Just in case, all my mentions are from the Japanese version.

I thought Samurai champloo was a great opening- i also think Shuffle! should have also been added - i aslo agree with Lonelyhim about Beck

For the most part I hate anime openings, mostly becasue I don't think I've heard a theme song for an anime that I really likeed.
