I like this list. Focusing on a performance regardless of the film/show's status.

J. Jonah Jameson is is a great pick.

Maybe Terrence Stamp as General Zod in Superman2. Went totally Shakespere with it.

One disagrement: Linda Carter.

Her performance was not "overlooked". It's the highlight of her career. Over the years, she has often been cast in roles that reference Wonder Woman, and she has no problem with the casting. Recently, as the principal in "Sky High".

I seem to remember Mickey Rourkes role of Marv in Sin City being heralded as the stand out performance of the movie even by the films critics launching the actors comeback. I have no idea who is overlooking this role but Mickey was brilliant.

Nobody overlooked Pacino's performance in Dick Tracy.  His performance was the only thing the flick had goin' for it.

How about Jackie Cooper as Perry White in the Superman movies?

Terri Hatcher as Lois Lane in Lois & Clark?

Erica Durance as Lois Lane in Smallville?

Good list, and here is another nominee... Ron Ely from Doc Savage: The Man of Bronze, George Pal's sadly mis-fired swan song.  Ely rises above this campy mess to turn in a very credible and stalwart performance as the 1930s pulp hero who served as the prototype for all future comic book superheroes.  Extra points are given since Elt was also the first and best TV Tarzan.

I would have put JJJ at the top...Grammar, really?  It was ok, but hardly the most overlooked.  And I can't believe that Church would even make honorable mention.

Decent list but as some pointed above, I have to disagree with what considered "overlooked"

How about any of the bad guys in Judge Dredd, I know I know, but I love that movie

Yeah, I'm not sure people understand what "overlooked" means...when I think "overlooked", I think "barely aware of"...for instance, John Ratzenberger (Cliff Claven from "Cheers") in "The Empire Strikes Back".

Good list, but i think Catwoman or Marv shoulda been #1 on this list as far as not just stealing the scene, but stealing the whole movie.

Dina Meyer as Oracle in the otherwise crappy (yet could have had potential) Birds Of Prey.  Perfect portrayal IMO.

And Agreed, most people who don't know anything about comics associate Wonder Woman with Lynda Carter and visa versa and Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman is one of the most memorable comic book roles of all time.  Both are huge parts of American pop culture.  Not exactly overlooked.
