I remember a Death in the Family...I even voted to against Jason Todd...that's still one of the worst things I've seen happen to a comic book hero by a major villian...great story...

What, no mention of Gotham by Gaslight? Or Knightfall? It was the combo of these two stories, together with BTAS, that got me hooked fifteen years ago...

Yeah!!!!  Gotham by Gaslight was awesome!!!!

yeah that beating by the Joker as his momwalks away...brutal.  Pointless and senseless. Possibly the worse comic book hero's death ive ever read. Very well done. But hes back? how?

@vagabondster- Go watch the DC animated Under the Red Hood for a pretty good telling.

Short answer- it involved Ra's Al Ghul and a Lazerous pit.

BetenoireVagabondster - Resurrection started when Superboy-Prime altered reality from the paradise dimension in which he was trapped, causing Jason Todd is restored to life, breaking out of his coffin (Wiki page quote, but in my memory).  He was then in a coma, had memory loss, and then picked up by Talia and put into the Resurrection Pit.

While the 1952 Batman/Superman team-up was certainly a big deal, it was not the first such collaboration. That honor goes to the Namor/Human Torch team-up (confrontation) in Marvel Mystery Comics #9 from July 1940. The first appearance of the Justice Society in All Star Comics #3 in Winter 1940 also predates the Batman/Superman meeting.
