Toy Fair is just a few weeks away and already we can guess what will make its debut there. Summer block busters such as Captain America and Thor will be big front runners in the action figure category. There will undoubtedly be new Transformers toys as well as figures for X-Men First Class. Here is our educated guess on what’s in store for 2011 in the realm of toys based on movies.
10. Sucker Punch

There will probably be three figures released from Zack Snyder’s Sucker Punch. Emily Browning will have a figure of her made as Baby Doll. Look for some sort of villain featuring a Nazi steam punk motif. Rounding out the set will either be a figure of Carla Gugino or of Jon Hamm.
9. Harry Potter Deathly Hallows Part 2

NECA will wrap up their series with a few more of our favorite characters in different clothes. We suspect there might be one or two epic two-packs finishing off this series. A final confrontation between Harry and Lord Voldemort would be perfect.
8. Transformers Dark of the Moon

Let’s face it. Outside of one or two really big robots, this new wave of figures is for the kids. Hasbro always delivers one or two epic pieces, but most of it is kid -friendly and not really for collectors.
7. Pirates of the Caribbean On Stranger Tides

There will be another Jack Sparrow figure that will be only slightly different from the previous figures released. Expect Penélope Cruz and Geoffrey Rush to get figures as well. The one that we all really want is Ian McShane as Black Beard.
6.X-men First Class

This film has the potential to deliver some great X-Men figures. The original set of films had bulky figures that just barely looked like their movie counterparts. Now that Hasbro has this complete 3.75 inch mind set, X-Men First Class could deliver an awesome Danger Room; not to mention vehicles and a wide assortment of additional characters from the comic.
5. Thor

Will it be awesome or will in be Flash Gordon (1980) awesome? We only have to wait a few more months to find out. Again, Hasbro should deliver on this series of figures. Even if the movie is only okay, we will still get a Sir Anthony Hopkins as Odin figure.
4. Rise of the Apes

This is one film that could either be incredible or, like its 2001 counterpart, fall completely flat. Hopefully, more Planet of the Apes toys will emerge. Let us just hope that they are not made by Playmates.
3. Green Lantern

DC Direct will probably have some incredible likenesses of the actors in their Green Lantern garb. Another thing to consider is that Mattel has been creating incredible figures over the last couple of years. Expect several different lines for this film: one that will be for collectors and the other for kids. Both will be worth it.
2. Cowboys and Aliens

Curiosity has gotten the better of us here at Mania and we want to see anything about this movie. There will be a kid’s line of figures to be sure. How can there not be? What we really want is Sideshow Collectibles to get on this and deliver some incredible Cowboys and Aliens premium figures.
1. Captain America

This film has every chance to be epic. The cool factor for these toys is that the film is set in WW2. Hasbro can stock up the shelves with tanks, jeeps, and motorcycles from both sides. Captain America has the potential to deliver some incredible classic looking toys.
I'm looking forward to see what Sideshows and kotobukiya do for the new Marvel flicks. These 2 usually put out my favorite stuff. Sideshow already has a sketch out for their next Thor premium format and it looks badass, only question is will they get permission to use the actors' likeness. I'm sure this'll bring down the value of my original Thor but I'll have 2
