Good thoughts.

But they will play it safe with a heavy cgi movie with heavy action and little to no story.  They will use whoever is alive for past characters for cameos, I am sure Harrison who could always use a little extra cash might be avail.  But they really should throw a bone to Mark to help rebuild the Jedi.  I hope when they do ghost Jedi's it will be Darth Vader and not Annie and use James Earl Jones somehow.

They need a good new threat to the universe for next one.  Maybe one that uses ex-empire guys and clones and their star destoryers.  I will have fun dreaming about it, no way it will ever be as good as our dreams.  But it will give us something good to think about for a change besides the crap Lucas gave us with prequels.  Who knows maybe they can move on in the toon stuff finally also.  Maybe more forward with the tv series.

If Disney does any of this, I will help them make their 4 bil back (what a douche bag price to pay to Lucas)  he does not not need that kind of money anymore.

These are all good ideas, especially number 2 and 3. I don't mind CGI, but there is something about real sets and props that just makes a movie feel more real.

I love Disney and Star Wars so this news was great to me. Now I know a few will disagree with me, but I also want them to add a few hidden Mickeys within the movie. Knowing Disney like I do I know that they will add at least one, but I would like more than one myself.

I like hidden things in movies. The potato asteroid in Empire Strikes Back, C3PO and R2-D2 in Raiders of the Lost Ark, etc..etc.. Stuff like that makes a movie more enjoyable. Or at least I think so.

There is a hidden Mickey in the pic for this article with the 3 death stars.

I agree with most of these, but I must call shenanigans on getting rid of CGI Yoda...yes, he looked perfect in Empire and Jedi...but I am the ONLY one here who remembers that half-assed puppet abomination from Phantom Menace?  CGI Yoda, in my opinion, actually looked much better.

True Hanso, and I'll admit seeing that made me remember about the hidden Mickey's used in their movies. But I want more, and more tricky to find since this "hidden" Mickey was a wee bit obvious.

Lol, phantom menace yoda looked fuked up man, cgi yoda was much better.

Of course Disney has just as much chance to make horrible movies as they do good ones. I'd say moreso bad than good, actually, just because living up to the expectations of so many people will be difficult...even following the prequels.  George spent 20 years thinking of the prequels. Writing and rewriting them in his head. CGI as we know it now, was only a few years along at the time and George thought it was the only way he could make these movies. He had said for years that technology was not developed enough to make the prequels he had in his mind. So when the technology did come along, he overdosed on it. The love and drive he used to make the original trilogy, are the very things that killed the prequels. It will be very important for Disney to find someone to development these new Star Wars movies that has not only a deep love for the originals, but actually respects what they are.

I would liked to have seen Spielberg direct one the new movies. That would have been nice to see. Too bad that will never happen.

Imagine a Michael Bay Star Wars. **shuddering in disgust**

**Still shuddering**

A Joss Whedon Star Wars could be amazing. **finally stopped shuddering**

Absolutely no Johnny Depp in Star Wars. I just can't see that as ever being a good thing.

No talking (or singing) animals in Star Wars.

Riddley Scott/ Russel Crowe team up for SW. I'm honestly not sure if that would be good or bad.

Oh well...so many possibilities to make this great and so many possibilities to royally screw it up. We'll just have to wait and see.

Please oh Please real sets. This movie should be able to have a beudget of at least 500mil and still be profitable. I felt to many CGI scenes killed the involvement with the movies.

If they cant/wont do Thrawn trilogy...how about dark Empire?? I think that's far enough in the future of StarWar's...
