The Review!
I always figure you should start with the packaging, because that's what you first see. The cover picture is horizontal, which is a bit odd.

However, it is a cool picture all the same. The back has a similar picture as a background, with text describing the disc in the foreground. You will also notice this has a clear Amaray case. However, instead of pulling a CPM, they placed a rather nice illustration on the backside of the cover art. It also includes an insert with art on one side, with story and disc information on the other. In short, top notch packaging.
The visuals are quite similar to My Neighbor the Yamadas, in that they both have animation like watercolor paintings. At times it uses incredible 3-D animation, other times it uses cel animation. Very Nice. As for the audio, the music is done by the L.A. Philharmonic Orchestra. I can't comment on technical aspects here, as my TV is MONO. Menus are in English, and allow quick access to all the disc has to offer. Extras are a bit sparse. The "Making of..." segment is in Japanese without subtitles. The trailer speaks for itself. However, you don't buy a disc for the extras

Ah, this is hard... First thing first, there is no Japanese dialog. There is an English opening sequence, but after that, there is no dialog. It, in short, is about a man and a woman, brought together by whimsical spirits. It is really hard to say more, because they don't say more. Very artsy stuff here. I won't bother to try and give allegorical references here. All in all, this is a great disc. If you ever liked Yoshitaka AMANO's works, then you should get this. The price is right, and it is great to just show off
