Wizard World Comic-Con may lack the blockbuster movie announcements of San Diego. It may not have the big comics publishers of previous years. One thing it does have like crazy is cosplayers. And rather than just rehash the same six costumes you see over and over again in San Diego (Slave Leia, Catwoman, Batman, Batgirl, Joker and Rogue) the cosplayers here dig a bit deeper into their comics catalog. Sure, you'll find Batman and the Joker, but how about Colossus, Shadowcat and Battlestar Galactic Generals? How about the new costume Wonder Woman and a cadre of Venture Bros. villains? What about Captain Hammer and Lt. Jim Dangle? We even have the Old Spice Gut!
Check out this selection of Photo-Mania from Wizard World Chicago Comic-Con.

Love Pixie!

Pixie isn't too bad looking however X23 looks more like her annoyed little brother that was tricked into the costume.

Wonder Woman is ok I kinda like the new look

Mario is missing his mustache

Wow some one who acctualy remembered Static Shock a show I wish they would have let continue

Rorschach is probally the best costume of all these pictures

Reno 911 dude, Kick Ass, Red Mist, and Hit Babe are all ok costumes but not the best

Power "Girl" looks more like Power Couger she looks old enough to be my mom, and I'm in my 30s

All the rest are pretty mediocre it's almost like they didnt put any effort into the costumes heck the one storm trooper looks like he only had half the armor and just said heck with it and put on random things from around the house

Batman#1 looks like he picked up his cowel from the S&M shop.

Power Girl:Nice outfit, but you need BIGGER boobs

That is an ODST. Not Master Chief...that's not even a Spartan.

Pixie is easy on the eyes. Very nice.

God these are hard to look at.  Did this thing take place in a high school gymnasium or something?

What, no pictures of Blago? :)

8man 8/23/2010 8:53:59 AM

It seems like there is always a Power Girl at one of these.  Wonder why that is.  Cougar is right!  But still nice....

Words simply escape me on the first Batman's cowl...And the second Batman looks like he has to pee.

Rohrshach looks great.  And I think Wonder Woman could kick my ass.

Anyone else go to this event and experience the disorganized mess?

Advanced ticket line was 35 minutes long, and yes when you bought your advance ticket online you were charged a convenience fee. Where if you didn’t buy a ticket in advance your line was like 2 minutes. Placing William Shatner right in a main aisle where it was impossible to walk through because so many people would stop and stare?

Sorry still bitter, so were many others.
