Sony Pictures and Universal Studios International have released two new spots for RoboCop. Check out these short spots of “Control” and “Mind of A Man”.

The Plot: In RoboCop, the year is 2028 and multinational conglomerate OmniCorp is at the center of robot technology. Overseas, their drones have been used by the military for years – and it’s meant billions for OmniCorp’s bottom line. Now OmniCorp wants to bring their controversial technology to the home front, and they see a golden opportunity to do it. When Alex Murphy (Joel Kinnaman) – a loving husband, father and good cop doing his best to stem the tide of crime and corruption in Detroit – is critically injured in the line of duty, OmniCorp sees their chance to build a part-man, part-robot police officer. OmniCorp envisions a RoboCop in every city and even more billions for their shareholders, but they never counted on one thing: there is still a man inside the machine pursuing justice.

RoboCop features Joel Kinnaman, Gary Oldman, Michael Keaton, Abbie Cornish, Jackie Earle Haley, Michael K. Williams, Jennifer Ehle, Jay Baruchel, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, and Samuel L. Jackson.

RoboCop arrives February 7th, 2014.

I'm still looking forward to this, and I hope it's good...But, man, they really scared me with the choice of music for that one wharehouse training scene they released last week.  And it looked kinda cheesy overall, but hopefully that's just a result of it being just a small snippet that was kinda taken out of context.  I'm hoping that was just one bad choice, an aberration, and not a recurring theme throughout the movie.  In other words, I hope they didn't make bad choices overall with the movie and the movie as a whole suffers because of it.  Nothing in Hollywood irks me more than when I see a movie that had so much potential and could've and should've been really good, but the director and producers just completely screwed the pooch in the end.

I was turned off by the music in that scene too. I watched the directors previous movies, Elite Squad 1 & 2. He did the same thing in those movies. Some action scenes had a cool thematic score, and other action scenes had rock music. He's a great director, but definitely needs to ditch the rock music scores.
