Apparently, 3rd party developer Capcom heard all the complaints about DEAD RISING not having 2 player co-op mode and planned ahead for the upcoming release RESIDENT EVIL: UMBRELLA CHRONICLES. According to the publication of Weekly Famitsu, the Wii game will be having a 2-player coop mode which features different starting points in the game for it's many playable characters. Jill & Chris from RESIDENT EVIL 1 and Rebecca & Billy from RESIDENT EVIL 0 are already confirmed as "playable" characters. Selecting one of these characters will start you off in a different part of the UMBRELLA CHRONICLES storyline.

The game will also feature more explosive items in the player's enviroment i.e explosives such as grenades or shooting barrels and cars in the background to kill multiple zombies at once.

No date has been announced for RE:Umbrella Chronicles

RESIDENT EVIL 5 also hits the PS3 and Xbox360 sometime in 2008 and that new installment has long been rumored as starring former S.T.A.R.S hero Chris Redfield.
