23.5 Degrees: IHVH Aloah va Daath

The Ordre are squirreled away at a secret location for their annual Archangel Michael observances, so I'm writing the column this week, innit?

Auntie Stella said that the "presentation to the Crown" went so well on the Autumn Equinox that The Herrings are considering making this a regular feature of the Michaelmas coordinates that are performed every autumn between the Equinox and the Feast of the Archangel Michael.

But the really hot inside gossip is that this year's observances are focused on repairing damage to the hypothetical Saint Michael Line which connects the alignment of Michael churches and stone circles across England from Saint Michael's Mount at the tip of Cornwall, through Glastonbury Tor, to Avebury stone circle, and onto the Royston Caves, exiting at Hopton on the coast of Norfolk.

According to Hareng Rouge Legend, the Saint Michael Line was originally “cleared” in November 1879, when the Powers of Light (Ordre de la Rose Croix Veritas) triumphed over the Dark Side after a momentus battle.

However, since then, misguided "masters" have tried to tap into the very lifeblood of Albion, causing repeated damage to the circuitry. So The Herrings have been quietly repairing the ruptures behind the scenes wherever possible by propagating the terrestrial underground Mary carrier frequencies.

We are aware that the most serious interferences were inserted on August 12, 1943, and again on August 11, 1999, at the Cornwall end of the circuit, and have since been exacerbated by dabbling puffers, thereby undermining the ongoing repair program.

Unfortunately although intensive adjustments were conducted in Glastonbury on the Equinox, teams were unable to reactivate the Eye of Orion at this time.

In light of this setback, the current plan is to temporarily stabilize the network until the dormant Templar generators can be brought back online.

Newton Coordinate:- The Feast of Michael the Archangel, September 29th, at 51°8'56" N, 2°41'57" W.

Wary of treading on any angelic toes, I have to congratulate Miss Magdalene Smith this week on her gothic image and her labyrinth of clues. Of course, Ahriman and his children have been up to mischief (what else would one expect?), but lost boys will be lost boys… I am entirely relaxed about Miss Smith’s beloved saint and protector (whose latest earthly manifestation commenced in 1928, but ceased in 2000, some months after the last darkness at noon, which Miss Smith refers to). Nevertheless, the good saint continues his support – not just along the Y-axis (pace Mr Paxman), but along so many other lines. His deeds will outlive his name…<br /> I must dash, however, as I’m about to head off with some acolytes to Templecombe to show them how to join the dots…<br />

Why do I get the ominous feeling that something is about to shift come Monday next? And how does October 17th fit in? The Knights of Sao Miguel are having a convocation - in Washington DC this time. What is it that Auntie Stella is keeping from us, Mags?

If memory does not fail me--didn't the Herrings go away a few months ago? Sometimes I feel as if I'm looking in a mirror. Shine on...

Checking in quickly...<br /> You have a good memory, Mnem, Herrings "officially" celebrate the "original" Michael's feast day on May 8th, in the spring. You can tell the difference between the "celestial" dragon-slaying Michael archetype mirroring the "terrestrial" dragon-slaying George archetype because one has wings and the other doesn't:-<br /> http://www.mania.com/greening-george_article_58155.html<br /><br /> Buzz, all I can say is that Washington DC is a VERY interesting coordinate in which to celebrate a Michael correspondence...<br /><br /> Nice to see you behaving yourself, W... don't get your knickers in a twist over the West Country dot-joining HEADgames, we still have the ability to tilt at watermills by the Thames!<br /><br /> Mort - yep, a generous slug of Laphroaig did the trick! I far prefer the taste of peat over cat piss...<br /><br /> And don't forget to burn your candles tomorrow... we need all the help we can get!! More anon.

... A(lo)ha! So, there's a sort is "super-symmetry" of the kind they're trying to find in Cerne Abbas. Provided they have Laphroaig instead of Heineken cans! Maybe they'll find it in the spring... I think we all need St. Michael today...

Yep, it looks like we didn't get the repairs done fast enough. You probably won't remember me writing this last May, but here it is again:- "Although it probably won't mean much right now, if you ever need to cross the Abyss, this information will be vital to your survival. Therefore, should you get stranded, it is essential to remember that the only route back is via the Archangel Michael coordinate." http://www.mania.com/235-degrees-terribilis-est-locus-iste_article_58294.html

... But the "gremlins" who plant the Heineken containers would surely test the patience of any saint?

Underground, Overground, squirreling free… Remember to take a ball of twine when traversing the abyss, there may be a few twists and turns along the way! PS I will keep a Tidy Bag at hand too, in case of breadcrumbs.

... I think we can rely on the things that the everyday folks leave behind. But we mustn't leave any rubbish!
