23.5 Degrees: Interlude: Bless the Bobbies!

One of the occupational hazards of investigating secret societies and chivalric orders is that I tend to get myself into a bit of a pickle from time to time. As a result, I've probably become more familiar with the London police than the average person, and have even developed a bit of a fondness for the boys in blue.

In the early days, it was a real struggle explaining to them how snooping around fake aristocratic titles and bogus societies led to the sabotaging of the brakes of my car or the hacking of my computer. But now the success of The Da Vinci Code has saved me hours of convoluted explanations, much to our collective relief.

In the meantime, the extra bonus to having the police hanging around has been the significant improvement to my domestic skills. For instance, I can now make a decent cup of tea, whereas my former efforts were once described as akin to drinking a cup of cat piss.

Anyway, one of the reasons you keep getting these "interludes" is because I've been embroiled in another police investigation for the past four months, which tends to waylay the creative juices.

But, someday, not only will this experience make a scintillating installment for the edification of the Maniacs, but it will also explain a lot of "mysteries" which have been kicking around for some time. So, stay tuned!

... since this article encourages us to think about undervalued professions, I thought Maniacs would appreciate the chance to read about Sir Bob Geldorf's latest appeal for perhaps the most undervalued profession of all at this sad time for the tragic victims of the current disaster... http://newsbiscuit.com/article/geldof-launches-bank-aid-as-markets-plummet-370

"Sierra, Tango, Echo, Lima, Lima, Alpha" Hope the boys and girls in Blue are keeping more than an 'eye' out for these mysterious events. Maybe they should also keep an 'ear' to the ground as well..? "Bravo - Juliet, Oscar, Yankee, Foxtrot, Uniform, Lima" Making tea can be a bit of a lottery. In my experience the more you try and make the perfect cup of tea the worse it tastes. So when you do hit that true feline flavour, you really must have been concentrating! "Delta, Romeo, India, November, Kilo - Whiskey" "Romeo - Foxtrot Alpha Romeo Tango"
