23.5 Degrees: Unaccelerated Observers

I've been away on another training session with The Committee, where I've learned a little more about their actual function and organization.

Created as a subdivision of a larger assembly dedicated to the cultural, social, technological, and spiritual progression of all civilizations in this plane of reality, known as The Universe, "M" and his eight colleagues oversee the Committee for Terrestrial Development, specializing in the advancement of Earth cultures.

They work in tandem with the Committee for Terrestrial Research, which studies Earth civilization, sociology, and psychology in order to make recommendations to the Terrestrial Development Committee. Our Committee then evolves development programs for implementation in the Earth plane for progress to coordinate sequentially on the Planet which, as we all know, is actually a training ground, so to speak.

It is Committee policy never to directly intervene unless strictly necessary but now it has become essential to seed another trigger into the development of Mankind. And so a Program was developed and volunteers were sought for "field duty" in order to ensure that certain events are generated and synchronized. The first vector was implemented in 1973, and now the second phase is preparing to commence.

So, here we are. What next?

… What a curious article from MMS! So, assuming that reality is different for each of us, the seed for me in 1973 was the message that there is no dark side; it’s all dark … and here we are today – all mindful of what’s going on in Cern(e Abbas) – learning that all but four per cent. of everything is dark, whether energy or matter. Maybe, if Higgs’ Field is found, it’ll be no different from the ether of the Greeks… Watch this space.

It's interesting how science eventually catches up with "science-fiction" or the "arcane arts".

... I guess that's right. "Yesterday's magic is today's science is tomorrow's commodity." Maybe, in the not-too-distant future, there'll be companies selling budget flights to see in the fifth millennium in a galaxy far, far away. Or maybe it might just be possible to do that today (without the budget company!)... BTW are any Maniacs aware if such an organisation as SITI (intra for extra) exists? Today, of all days, would be a good day to join!

I quite like the idea of SITI, but what about SUTI (Ultra), SATI (Any! LOL), and last but not least SOOTI (Our Own). Let's get busy...

I'm with you. My problem with SETI is i don't know how we'd recognise the ETI if we found it! ... and in some parallel universe, just assuming that the little green men/women/whatever had their own SETI-equivalent, wouldn't they just pass by earth and continue their journey.<br /> As a much-missed Sufi once wrote about our planet, "This planet has - or rather had - a problem, which was this: most of the people living on it were unhappy for pretty much of the time. Many solutions were suggested for this problem, but most of these were largely concerned with the movements of small green pieces of paper, which is odd because on the whole it wasn't the small green pieces of paper that were unhappy."<br /> Wouldn't it be cool if we used happiness vouchers as our main form of currency? I know all the economic arguments for why we need real <a class="iAs" classname="iAs" style="font-weight: normal !important; font-size: 100% !important; text-decoration: underline !important; border-bottom-color: rgb(0, 100, 0) !important; border-bottom-width: 0.075em !important; border-bottom-style: solid !important; padding-bottom: 1px !important; color: rgb(0, 100, 0) !important; background-color: transparent !important; " href="#" target="_blank" itxtdid="6823321">money</a>, but just humor me here. For example, I'll fix your roof, if you, say, play me a piece of music that means something to you... The problem arises when we treat the Sufi"s "small green pieces of paper" as a surrogate for happiness and assume that having three pieces of green paper makes us happier than having just two. That thinking leads to today's problems on Wall Street. My guess is that the whole financial system may be a sub-zero-sum game. All the pieces of green paper created over the last 7/8 years will have been burnt up in the past twelve months (and then some) and no-one ends up happier than they were when they started. On the contrary. I think we'd fail our own SETI criteria. (And before anyone tells me, I know that "Imagine" was inspired by Pol Pot's money-free Cambodia!)<br /> MMS' Committee would be doing us a favor by helping us with this and then we could think about what really matters. Me, I'm off to buy a get-rich quick book now...
