Viewers looking to see how the groundbreaking 24 will finish need not worry. The Fox TV network has gone ahead and ordered up 11 further episodes of the series, which will bring it to its full intended 24 hour run.
In the last few days, there were rumblings that Fox could go either way on the program, which has not been getting the kind of ratings the network was looking for.
While talking to the Hollywood Reporter, 24's co-creator and executive producer Joel Surnow reacted to Fox's show of confidence, saying, "We feel very fortunate to have been able to carve out enough of an audience in that time slot to be able to continue to do the show. Both (co-creator and executive producer Robert Cochran) and I are extremely grateful that the network has chosen us as the show that they're marshaling all their support for, and it's a big moral boost to everybody on the show from top to bottom."
