Three new trailers of THE KINGDOM have appeared online today, courtesy of Apple. This action/thriller stars Jamie Foxx, Chris Cooper, Jennifer Garner, Jason Bateman, Jeremy Piven, Danny Huston & Richard Jenkins.

Plot Summary: Centers on Special Agent Ronald Fleury (Jamie Foxx) who has just received the assignment of his career: assemble an elite team (played by Jennifer Garner, Oscar winner Chris Cooper and Jason Bateman) to hunt down and capture the terrorist mastermind responsible for a deadly attack on Americans working in Saudi Arabia. The feds have only one week to infiltrate and cripple a cell bent on jihad to western society.

No training could prepare Fleury and his team for the disorienting culture shock they face once inside this scorching foreign land, byzantine maze of politicians, storefront terrorists and double-crossing businessmen who traffic in profiteering and exploit any opportunity to grow ever richer, no matter the human cost. Bound by handlers who refuse to play ball with the U.S., the agents quickly find the local law enforcement more hindrance than help and soon grow uncertain of anybody's allegiance.

But when a sympathetic Saudi police captain helps them navigate Riyadh politics and investigate the true cause of the attack, Fleury finds an unexpected comrade-in-arms. In their lightning fast attempt to crack the case, the partners search leads them straight to the killer's front door.

THE KINGDOM hits theaters everywhere on September 28, 2007.

Man, Peter Berg has become an excellent director. I'm really looking forward to this.

Rumors had it that the Saudis were not happy with the early versions of the film and forced the producers to remake some parts in order to show "sensitivity" to Islam and the Arabs. The movie was supposed to come out publicly last March but got delayed because the Saudis weren't happy with it. Damn political correctness.

Looks good. Either way I'd see it just to see how my work area looks on the big screen. The american compound in "Saudi Arabia" was filmed at ASU Polytechnic campus in Mesa, AZ where I work. It used to be an Air Force base so I'm assuming it helped. Also, the highway fight you keep seeing is the 202 freeway in Mesa that I drive everyday to work.

After watching "The Rundown" numerous times, I think Peter Berg could become the next huge action director. "Friday Night Lights" was enjoyable. He really has a good eye. This movie looks pretty damn good also. Can't wait to see what he does next. he has come a long way from the Days of starring in movies like "Shocker" and "Aspen Extreme".

I wasn`t particularly interested in this movie, until I read that Peter Berg was directing. He is a really talented director and has come along away since Chicago Hope. The trailer looks pretty good. I`ll have to check it out.
