The Review!
Unfortunately, this is the first time I saw 3X3 Eyes. - How is that possible? :)- The stories I've heart about it are great. My expectations are also high. And now it is available in one box set: COMPLETE. So I placed the first disc in the player and watched and watched...almost 2 hours later (4 episodes)...First part is over and it was really cool. Well 3 episodes to go...NOT REALLY. That was kind a surprise that the 2nd part of the show the episodes are running 45 minutes and that is 15 minutes more. Why is that? 3 X 45 minutes is not really common. Still the story was again great. This is for sure one of the best and most original story I've ever seen.

The show contains many different genres, mostly: horror, comedy and romance. It is a somewhat strange combo horror and comedy. But the makers did a very good job combining those two. That is one thing I liked about the show.

The show itself exists of two parts. The first part tells the story of the last surviving Sanjiyan, who wants to become human. She is a three-eyed-demon which holds the key to immortality. Yakumo must help her in her quest. In the 2nd part of the show you'll learn more about the history of Sanjiyan and...just watch and discover. Some say there is no true ending to the story. Well, although the story can easily continue after this, it is still a great ending.

Very good and clear. I didn't notice any distortion. The English voice acting is very good (fortunately). I notice that more and more Anime shows (as far I've seen) spend more attention to English voice acting. The music is also great, not special, but still nice to hear. The one thing I really missed was an opening theme. Unfortunately, it is more what they use in the movies. Besides that everything is cool.

Some people noticed much distortion in the background. When I watched the show I saw nothing at all. Everything looks great and beautiful. The only thing I noticed is some gray in the background, especially in the sky. The 2nd part of the show is more clear. Overall the show isn't half as bad as I was told. The only downside to this show are the EYES of Yakumo, and I think most people will disagree with me on this but, they are "closed" almost all the time. That's not really my style.

The menus are in the same style as the show. They are really nice and really beautiful. Here is no disappointment at all.

THE 3X3 Eyes box set and all they came up with were some pictures :(, no trailers! What's the big idea here. We're talking about THE 3X3 Eyes box set!!! Disappointing. Okay, the pictures that were on the disc looked great and they've place a very very extensive voice credits list. Which contains all the actors including there pictures and the other shows they did. But still...Oh, I almost forgot the Tattoo. For anyone who didn't got his hands on one: it is nothing special, so don't worry.

I didn't give the "A+" because the packaging is perfect, but because is special, very good looking oh and very EYE-catching. It definitely has something when you look at it. The backside gives a few explanations and a short history. But one thing is missing on the backside: the extra's (not that it was much:).

I wish I've 3 eyes, then I could have enjoyed the show even more. It was great fun watching this show.
