'300' crosses $200 million mark overseas

Bean bagged the big bucks once again at the international box office, as "Mr. Bean's Holiday" returned to the top during the post-Easter weekend, beating "300" with $18 million at 4,100 playdates in 46 territories."300" has plenty of gas in its tank with Japan still to open. It stands just $70 million short of "Troy," which grossed $479 million worldwide in 2004.Germany generated the top "300" figure with $2 million at 678, followed by the Oz soph sesh with $1.8 million at 338, off 58%, and the third Brazilian frame with $1.3 million at 462, down 39%. Biggest foreign "300" markets are the U.K. with $25.5 million, Spain with $18.2 million and South Korea with $17.9 million.More...
