"300" makes $27m on Friday!

Update:  Studio estimates say 300 made over $27 million on Friday!!!!!

According to WorldofKJ, not only will the film 300 exceed weekend tracking estimates of $30 to $35 million, it will come very close to doing so on Friday alone!

The site's users use various information to track a films performance, and currently project 300's Friday number to be OVER $20 million, with a possibility of $25 or even $30 million on Friday alone.

These numbers could mean a weekend haul of around $60 or $70 million.

Check back for more information in the afternoon as the Studio releases more detailed estimates!


KJ's Take:  Holy mother of god!  This thing is a beast!  It's tracking like a mega blockbuster!!  Even better because the movie rocked.

yeah, i saw it today at noon and it was packed. it was actually packed when it opened at 10 in the morning.

This movie is getting some criticism for lack of story, but I loved it. Much better than Sin City. 300 pulling 60 mil will have to be a bit of a shock. This is shaping up to be this decade's version of the Matrix.

This movie was awesome!! Definitly going to go see this again maybe 2 more times this weekend heh.

The fight scenes were really cool. The tree, the absolute coolest. Looked like a normal tree to me in the trailer! otherwise, i couldnt help but make a million comparisons to other epic movies throughout the course of this one; it was a little distracting. ILL movie, a must see. But by no means in the "revoltionary" catagory as "The Matrix" lets stop the comparisons.

I saw this movie this afternoon, and all I can say is AWESOME !! This movie kicks ass on a new level. Gerard Butler did an amazing job. I thought the story was great, the effects were great, and the fight scenes were fantastic. Going back to see it again tomorrow. Highly recommended.
