Way TOO slow, how long has it been since the series ended?

My feeling is that this movie will NOT happen, specifically due to Chris Carter's and Duchovny's ongoing battle with Fox over royalties. Secondly, with remake mania in Hollywood, give it 10 years and they'll reshoot the whole show.

i could care less if they made another movie. i just watched the first one again a few days ago. its actually quite boring. i think it has to do with the fact that it fits in between episodes from the series and gives you nothing of its own.

X-files 2 could be a really good film if it can stand on it's own. The series was really a classic show and the films could bank more if done right. There are still people whonare fans of the show, plus a new audience could be found if it were done right.

I agree that if they were gonna do another x-files movie, it should be now. the first one wasnt that good because of what dawntreader said, it wsa in-between shows and it didnt just stand on its own.
one of the great things i like about that show was when they had episodes NOT about the alien conspiracy shit. it was cool at first but then just got old and boring. I mean one of my favorite episodes was the cop episode they did and the great mustafo(i think thats what it was called, the singing hunchback dude)
so if they do another movie please dont have it be about aliens and do somethin completly different!

I love the X-Files. I hope that they don't make this too supernatural. We see so many horror films these days, not enough sci-fi stuff. Let Mulder & Scully's relationship develop into love, bring back the alien's, maybe one that talks like E.T. Ha. something creative please.
