3D IMAX racing film flags 24 star

24 leading man Kiefer Sutherland will narrate the new IMAX film NASCAR 3D: THE IMAX EXPERIENCE. Scheduled for release on March 12, 2004, NASCAR 3D will present the world of racing as it hasn't been seen before: on a screen that's eight stories tall, presented in three dimensions and delivered in 12,000 watts of digital surround sound.

The film will include a look back at the history of the sport, behind--the-scenes views as well as camera angles from on the actual NASCAR cars. Principal photography of the film's racing scenes was filmed at the Bristol Motor Speedway on August 23, 2003. The movie is directed by Simon Wincer (FREE WILLY, THE YOUNG BLACK STALLION).
