Never saw all of Lifeforce, saw bits and pieces but never the whole thing. What I saw looked like good fun. Did see the sexy naked alien chick, definitely worth the time to watch. Never saw any of Night of the Creeps but it definitely sounds like well of a ampy fun gut buster.

Enemy Mine rules! I watched that movie everyday when I was growning up. "Zamis get four five?" Word.

Time Bandits should not be on this list as it's not an "almost" great Sci-Fi movie. It is an all time classic. Gilliam son, nuff said.

The only movie that matters on that list is Time Bandits. That movie was the shit. I don't know how or why my mother came across that movie and introduced to five, bad-ass kids growing up in West Philly but she did and til this day at every family gathering all of us recite that movie having seen it a billion times. It truly is a classic and I will definitely pass it on to my kids eventually just to simply help them to expand their imaginations. Besides, who knows what unimaginative crap is going to be out by then?

For any of you that have not seen Night of the Creeps: It is a fun homage to B-horror flicks of the 50's. It is all over the Showtime networks recently and will be in HD on MGM next Thursday or Friday i believe.

btw, you can watch Night of the Creeps in its entirety on YouTube. It's in 10 parts, each about 9 minutes. Great 80s sci-fi horror.

@eaglemaniac: if I remember correctly, BB and friends are trying to end world hunger and the watermelons had to withstand a lot of pressure so they can be dropped from airplanes and not shatter on impact. ;-) I think I watched that movie too many times. BB is the reason why I wanted to have fifty different careers before I was 25. Peter Weller used to be the man. And why isn't the Last Starfighter up here? That movie easily foretold the future of gaming for 2052. HA! And come on, Bad Taste ruled!

My top under-appreciated sci-fi classics are (in no particular order): Time Bandits, Videodrome, They Live, Buckaroo Bonzi, The Last Starfighter, and Enemy Mine. These should all be required viewing for anyone who calls themselves sci-fi fans.
