I could see #2 being made into a movie. The Krampus running around throwing bad kids into his sack, how could that not make a great movie rivaling Freddy and Jason.

A coworker introduced me to the story of the Krampus a couple of years ago. He puts pictures of it on his computer wallpaper every season.  It is so bizarre and scary. It is completley foreign to American Xmas traditions. If you search for Krampus on youtube you can see some videos of northern Europe festivals where people dressed like the demon grab little children out of the street crowd and throw them into a horse drawn paddy wagon jail covered in bones to take them to Hell.

This character may not be good for a kid's movie but as soon as I heard about him I knew he'd make a great horror movie monster.

 Didn't the Venture Bros have Krampus in one of their episodes?

 I personally loved the Krampus' appearance on A Very Venture Christmas episode from season 1 of the Venture Brothers.

I remember watching a TV made movie about Black Peter sometime in the '90's, it was kind of light and fluffy from what I can recall. I completely forgot about it until now.

I can't seem to find anything on it anywhere either, but I'm from Canada, so more than likely it was some CTV/CBC Christmas special that aired once and was then brush promptly under the rug.

Make Krampus into a movie for kids. American children need to be toughened up...

Some of these sound alot better than actual Christmas Specials that have been made.  I could have done without the Doctor Who Christmas Special with the giant Cyberking walking through Victorian England.  Speaking as one of the children who watched the original airing of the Star Wars Holiday Special, I can say that it was far more traumatic than any story about Krampus could possibly be.  The horror.. the horror...

Ha, the Krampus. And here I thought that was made up just for the Venture Brothers.

And check that out, Santa is St. Nicholas.  Wow, what a suprise.  And here I've had several christians try and tell me Santa is actually Satan, you know, because you can rearrange the letters in Santa to spell Satan . . . and he wears red . . . and he gives toys to the good children.  Yeah, that's clearly evil.
