Ferret- ya i agree Destro is more of a DarthVader type as explained by Whyldstaar. I think Darth Maul would be considered more of a henchman than Vader.... He is probably the most awesome Henchman of all time to have at ur side actually. Imagine having that guy as ur Biatch. hehe.

No Starscream? No Evil Lynn?

"Renfield! ..You Asshole!"

That's my favorite line from Mel Brooks' Dracula, Dead and Lovin It!

"And, Tom Waits is inherently awesome. He usually plays the piano and sings the blues like no white guy can or should. In Bram Stoker's Dracula, he plays Renfield closer to Stoker's original. He's more like Dracula's herald. He still eats bugs and awaits the master's commands, but he does it with an over-the-top Brit swagger that goes past campy into awesome. Instead of talking about bugs and lives like Frye did, he walks up with a plateful of the beasties and offers Jack Seward an hors d'œuvre."

Finally. Someone on Mania gives a shout to to how b.a. I've been saying Tom Waits is. After reading that, tell me he doesn't sound like he'd make a really interesting crazy Riddler for Batman 3.

Starscream had too much initiative to be a henchman.  He was always waiting for his chance to stab Megatron in the back, and eventually found it.  A henchman is loyal to his master.

Mercy - Lex Luthor's henchwoman from Superman. Not only was she adept at martial arts, but she wasn't squeamish about pulling the trigger when the need arose.

Harley Quinn - Now I know you're going to say that she's not a henchwoman, but go back and rewatch Batman Beyond's Return of the Joker. Not only does she help Mister J kidnap Robin, but she helps torture and brainwash Robin for weeks on end as well.

Flying Monkeys - Ask any 4-5 year old that's watched The Wizard of Oz what scared them, and the Flying Monkeys will always come up. Those little bastards were viscious.

General Tarkin - Not only does he order Alderaan destroyed, but he's the one that orders Leia to be put to death.

DaForce, I like Tarkin also, but I'm not sure I would consider him a henchman...after all, as Leia put it, he was the one holding Vader's leash...in all of Star Wars, I think there might be only one character that I would consider to be a henchman, and that would be Bib Fortuna, Jabba's lacky.  Face it, most bounty hunters are too bad ass to be considered henchmen...I might consider Darth Maul also, but that might only be because he had all of 2 lines and got killed way too soon...and by a padawan at that!  Some bad ass.  By the way, LOVE your pic...Brock with my favorite henchmen from one of my favorite episodes..."Showdown at Cremation Creek" rocks!

Wyldstaar 7/9/2010 5:00:35 PM

Bib Fortuna would more aptly considered a Major Domo.  He handles the day to day goings on around Jabba's palace.  He deals with the minor problems that come up which are too unimportant to bother Jabba with.  A Major Domo is certainly a type of henchman, but not a typical one.

I don't know, Wyldstaar, Bibby got pretty henchy in some of the Star Wars comics I've read...but since I don't consider Star Wars comics to be cannon (no matter what GL says), I'll give you that one.
