It seems like all the critics have their heads up their a$$ on Hobbit.

Ditto all above comments.

Btw, there's many more films to tide us over than just these fantasy ones. Guess a good chunk of them would fall into the sci/fi genre though

Superman is fanatsy ain't it?

You definitely missed The Seventh Son, I think that's going to be well worth it.

If Pacific Rim is here, then wouldnt Oblivion, Star Trek count too?  Hansel & Gretel is dropping next year too.  The 300 sequel?  How about Grown Ups 2?  You know Adam Sandler cant get Salma Hayek in real life.

I have no interest in Percy Jackson, and the Jack movie Im unsure about cause the trailer had some lame humor and I thought the flick was supposed to be more serious.  The other 3 Ill checkout for sure.

The only movie on this list I really care about is Pacific Rim. It's got a Ironman vs Godzilla kind of vibe.

Why does Rob keep refering to the Hobbit as a 'bit of a letdown from LOTR'?  Maybe for your Rob, but I really liked the movie, sorry it didn't have enough Frodo in there for you, I am guessing that's what you liked so much from the first ones.

hanso 12/18/2012 6:25:54 AM

I havent seen the movie but in Rob's defense the Hobbit scored less both in critics and user/viewer scores than the LOTR trilogy in a few sites (rotten tomaotes, imdb, metacritic) and attendance or ticket sales were down compared to the trilogy too I think.  So its probably safe to say it was a bit of a let down.
