For me and my daughter the Hobbit was not a let down at all.  That is all I care about.  If others did not like it then that is too bad for them I guess. Bring on the next two movies.

As for this list I am down for Thor and Pacific Rim. But as far as tiding me over with great fantasy, Game of Thrones Season 3 will do nicely. Only 103 days to go!!! :-D

I never trust critics.  I remember some 35 years ago, a little known movie named Star Wars came out, and every critic in New York that I read gave it 1 to 2 stars saying it was a waste of money and time and that it would not last.  Six months later those same critics were giving it 3.5 to 4 stars saying it was the greatest movie ever made.  Since then I never trusted a critic.  I did walk 5 miles with 10 rolls of pennies to meet my friends and see that movie opening day weekend and it was worth it.  I cannot wait until I see the Hobbit because I know that I'm going to love it.

Sometimes I have to wonder if the critics like to follow the flock so they don't seem like the odd one out. Probably not EVERY time, but sometimes.

I'm excited to see Pacific Rim. Been following it's production since it was greenlit and when I would tell my firends about it they would laugh. That sounds really stupid giant robots fighting monsters. Then they saw the trailer and it was like hey have you heard of that movie pacific fim.

I thought the Hobbit could have been much better if it had stuck to the story and been trimmed a bit, but I am still looking forward to more, and several of these, well all of these except the first one.

I was so disappointed with the Percy Jackson, once I read the books... but it got me to the books, which I have read all of now. including the first three of the sequal series.

I have no idea how they will do Sea of Monsters, with out some significant explination.

Also this is like waiting three year between Potter one and two... the age gap just messes things up.

Wise, to each their own, but I think it's fair to call Superman science-fiction.

Another fantasy movie that will tide us over until the next Hobbit movie will come to home video; bluray and dvd combo to be exact that was mentioned recently on mania...Willow!!  Man, I still cannot believe it's finally coming!!
