The X-men franchise needs to take a couple of years off and X-amine X-actly why there leaving us all so X-asperated and figure out how to X-cel and X-ceed our X-pectations of X-cellence. Thats the only way I can get X-cited about the X-men.

Well the only way they will ever be good again is if Marvel gets the rights back. If they can/do get them i think they could bang out an AMAZING movie! Would love to see an Xforce movie! CABLE ROCKS!!

I'm all for another xmen movie if it doesn't have wolverine in it! Let him continue on with his Wolverine movies and leave them as seperate! Wolverine hogged all the plot in all three xmen movies!

Personally I'm ready to see an X-Men film.  They have yet to make one of those, I mean we've gotten Wolverine 1, 2 and 3...as well as the prequel to all those movies (ie Wolverine Origins).  So I mean as long as Fox is maintaining those rights they may as well use them...

I'd rather see a Cable/Deadpool movie than X-Force.  How bout Generation X?  I'd like to see a good version of that movie without the ridiculous dream walking aspect used in the original Gen X movie.  Now Excalibur would be kind of fun, I mean I'd like to see Nightcrawler doing the whole swashbuckling thing, we could do without Colossus...but I'd definitely like to see Ellen Page as Kitty again.  Now, Spiderman and his Amazing Friends...awesome show, I would love to see that happen in a movie...I mean it's not likely to ever happen, but it's definitely something that would rock.

Everyone can harp on how much they want Marvel/Disney to have the X-Franchise but it's just not going to happen for the forseeable future. Fox has a great moneymaker with it with the numerous spinoffs sited above. Wolverine has made money in theaters and now DVD, so whether it's First Class, Magneto, or New Mutants, Fox will be the studio that'll be cranking 'em out.

Yeah, you're right Monkeyfoot.  The article should really be addressed to fox and not Marvel as fox isn't going to let their rights lapse anytime soon and there's no way that they'll sell the rights back to Marvel for anything less than an arm and a leg.

The Sentinels would be an excellent way to bring some seriousness back to the X Men storyline....that story was one of the ones that was pretty good....The New Mutants would be a good animated DVD...it would give them a chance to explore the possiblity of a good movie if the DVD did well...that would be my take on it?

Would have to X out Cable or alternate Phoenix for the reason alone in the third movie there's no Jean Grey or Scott Summers alive to birth these two little bastards.  Sad to say it.

Ouch.....why did you bring up Spiderman and His Amazing Friends......now I feel like I should be wearing bellbottom jeans.

I never even heard of Champions but they sound like a fun movie but I'd add Deathlok into the mix for some cyborg fun.

If we would stop paying for them Fox wouldn't have a reason to keep making them and maybe they would let them revert back.

X-Men 3 was crap, people fool themselves into think Wolverine would be good. That didn't work out and now they are starting to fool themselves again because Fox is saying the Japan storyline will be used.

Prior to the release of Wolverine you had Hugh Jackman saying all the right things and didn't deliver when the movie rolled out. Ryan Reynolds was talking all this noise about Deadpool and what ended up on screen was an abortion. Now people are actually excited about a Deadpool movie because Reynolds says he loves the character and they will show him in costume? Please. Last time Fox spun off with a villain it gave the world Elektra.

Jackman, Reynolds and any actor can love the characters whatever they want but at the end of the day Fox will do what it wants and screw it up. Example: Daredevil Director's Cut is a much better film that what was originally released, yet Fox went with the crap first.

Basically nothing in their track record suggest they can deliver the goods, pretty much all of their films have been average at best. The only way I will be interested in any super hero Fox produced movie is if it's made by a big time director like Spielberg, Fincher, Cameron etc. People that would have enough pull to get their vision to the screen and not Fox's. If they keep going the Ratner, Gavin Hood, Tim Story route I will pass.

I'd love to see Spiderman and his Amazing Friends!!!

I have to agree with my Boy Hanso...

The first 2 X-Films were great, X-three not so much, and I tried watching Wolverine last week...couldn't sit through it... yeah ...um sorry Fox it's not me it's YOU...Lets take a break Fox, I wanna see other studios.

Still looking for that Daredevil directors cut..
