Does this mean Ravenwood and Jones had a kid?

This is cool! I always enjoyed her character the most out of the three. I could not stand the girl in Temple...She drove me batshit!

She probably drives Steven crazy too.

I liked Karen the best too. She was tough as nails and didn't take crap from anyone, especially Jones, but she was still very likable.

And yes Hanso, that's what everyone has been speculating for the last half year anyway.

Karen Allens character didnt take crap from anyone? You must not have seen all of raiders of the Lost Ark. If I recall correctly after Indy left the bar she got ambushed by the Nazi doctor and offered to tell him anything. Then later she hid in a basket from a bunch of guys in turbins. Then later she tried to flee into the desert and then the Nazi doctor showed up again and she turned chicken shit. And finally when the ship she is on with Indy gets boarded she tried to slap the french guy and the Nazi's restrained her. oops almost forgot she got thrown in to the tomb with the snakes as well.

So I am curious how did she not take crap from anyone? Or were you confusing her Indiana Jones character with her character in Law & Order who kills the guy she thinks has her father's coins?

I know that there has been speculation about Indy having a kid, and thus the casting of Shia. I rarely saw speculation about Indy having slept with the Ravenwood character and she having his baby.
If I'm not mistaken there were previous rumors that some of the ladies of INdy's past would make their way into this movie, so it could very well mean that Spielberg's wife could be announced as appearing in the film also. Meaning the kid could've come from either of them or a character that wasn't in the previous films.

give the guy a break, you already busted his balls about doug jones. I think he meant that she could outdrink some men and gave Indy a hard time sometimes :)

This is good news. I definitely liked Karen Allen way more than Capshaw and the evil German. And like Almost said, she was tough as nails and didn`t take crap from anyone, even Indy. She definitely held her own in Raiders.

They were going to burn her eye out with a fire poker. Discretion is sometimes the better part of valor. However, as I recall she then mashed one of them over the head with a torch and shot the other one in the brain.

Not before she cracked one of them over the head with a frying pan. There were four or five of them after her following that. Not to mention an evil monkey.

In summary, don't piss wit dat bitch. She crazy.

Obviously I'm happy Allen is coming back to play this part again.

Hanso and Whiteknight Quasiunbiased has given me plenty of grief about many things posted. If it cant take it (I dont know if almostunbiased is male, female, both or neither) wants to say something it should prepare to discuss the post. Im glad shes back as well but if INDY hadnt been waiting around the poker would have been in her eye. Yeah shes tough in raiders but saying she doesnt take shit from anyone is a bit of an overstatement. Also DougJones is an actor in a suit and it seems AlmostUnbiased cant appreciate his skill. Gollum could have looked very bad and so could Abe sapien but thanks to Mr Jones acting skills ( the only acting skill that shows up in FF2rise of the SS) both characters were incredible. I mean they could have looked like shit just like Transformers.

And monkeys are not all evil, you try living with Peter Griffin and see what it does to your attitude..

Beh, not sure why the Simpsons would warrant attention in this feedback. Personally, I'm less than thrilled by that project. Too little too late....dude.

However, Marian in the new Jones film...I like that idea a lot. I just hope she is not limited to a cameo role. What was great about her in Raiders is that she was Indy's "equal". She kept up and the tomboy persona was perfect. It always seemed out of balance in the other two films when he was swayed by a bimbo and a "pretty face". I think we all enjoyed the fact that Marion stood up to him. She, in many ways, was just as smart, or smarter than the sometimes falliable Jones. He had to work to keep up with her fiestiness. She held her own without the noted Temple of Doom pampered whining.

She was one tough broad in Raiders and DIDN'T take crap from anyone. What she lacked physically, she made up in attitude. The gal drank a monster of a man under the table, whacked Nazis, thumped henchmen, outsmarted Indy's nemesis and took a poke at Indy himself. Sounds pretty much like she "doesn't take any crap." What did you want? Some silly, over the top, martial arts expert ala Mummy Returns? She was a very realistic character. Well, except that she seemed to have the uncanny ability to sober up quickly.

BTW, Doug Jones didn't play Gollum. That would be Andy Serkis who was the man behind the skinny LOTR beastie.
