Director Christopher Nolan and Warner Bros may be planning something else for those eager fans awaiting the next installment of the DARK KNIGHT. We heard yesterday that they're planning on releasing a 7-minute prologue by the Joker before the IMAX release of I AM LEGEND. Today, they've changed the look of their viral site Why So Serious, a site they've used before for trailers, teasers and the first image of the Joker.. Perhaps, a new teaser or trailer is coming to us around Halloween? We shall see, readers.

Big thanks to veteran Maniac, Southpaw, for sending the tip along..

Can anything get better than this! Probably so, but hey! This is BATMAN! It would be fitting to show a 7-minute footage of THE DARK KNIGHT on Halloween...As I said before, that's quite a promise on Nolan & WB's part.

I think you misread/ misunderstood the article. First of all, the 7 minute "trailer" isn't FROM the movie. It's a prologue, and set to show before I Am Legend. Secondly, this teaser/trailer POSSIBLY set for Halloween is your run of the mill teaser or trailer.
That's what I understand it to say, but I could be incorrect as well.

jyansr I think you're right but they keep saying the 7 min. prologue is just for Imax. I hope that's wrong being that the Imax market is miniscule compared to regular screens.

but I think that is the point #3, they want it to be hard to find, leaked to the internet, etc.... to build the buzz without over doing it, the viral advertising has beem fun to this point.

If a teaser trailer is coming around Halloween, I hope it's better than the last one. I haven't been so disappointed with a teaser trailer in a LONG time. If this trailer is closer to the description from AICN with the Joker holding Harvey Dent hostage and ends with someone exclaiming, "Harvey, I thought you were dead!" with Dent answering, "Half," THAT would excite me to no end!!!

anybody else notice that the pumpkin's mouth is in the shape of the bat symbol?

Fun fun indeed!

The pumpkin design is exactly the same as a pumpkin that was in "The Long Halloween" graphic novel. You can check it out @ www.batman-on-film.com I ABOSLUTLEY CANNOT EFFING WAIT for this movie!

DK trailer in Halloween....7 minutes in December...geez cant they just give us set dates??? Crap like this is just annoying. There's a right way to create "buzz" the there's a wrong way...
And who really cares about a trailer? Trailers are designed to get the juices flowing.

I believe in Harvey Dent too!

Can't wait to see a trailer.

Misread/misunderstood the article, whatever! Point is: We get to see 7-minutes of DK stuff, trailer or not...

I'm just glad that WB isn't repeating what they did waaaay back in 89' Man! I remember for the first few months before June 23rd, 1989, it was all BATMAN hype! You couldn't go anywhere without coming across someone wearing Batman shirts, accessories, etc., Does anybody actually remember that shit!?
