HOW can Hayden Christensen as Anakin be left out?? He was horrible, wooden, and seemed like a petulant brat, not the brave hero gone bad. He was so bad that the CARTOON Anakin from The Clone Wars seems much better!! Jake Lloyd was also a terrible choice, look at the special features of the Episode 1 DVD. In the 'making of' documentary, they show the last casting for young Anakin and there was this blond kid who was the runner up, he looked just like Luke Skywalker from the first movie(Ep4)

Peter jackson had the sense to replace Aragorn right before shooting, he knew Stewart Copeland wouldn't fit the part. Lucas would have left him in and screwed up the character.

I'm gonna disagree with Costner and Robin Hood.

Maybe splitting hairs here, but I think there is a difference between a person who is miscast and a person who just doesn't have the acting chops to execute a role well. Sometimes an actor isn't a bad actor, per se, but because of some aspect of their persona - voice, bearing, appearance, etc - they just can't "fit" into the role they are assigned. I guess you could argue that IS bad acting, but to me, there is a difference. Most of the discussion here deals with folks in the former category, but I think a few stray into the latter...IMHO.

And I guess I am one of the few folks who kinda liked GI JOE. No, it wasn't great. I found the Wayans' character to be offputting, a bit too prone to mugging. But overall I thought it was fun, I thought it was rare in that the movie villains actually appeared to be credibly competent (oddly, it was the villains who were generally outnumbered and outgunned in the movie, so you had to somewhat admire their courage and flair!), and I found the performances of most of the major characters (esp Baroness, Storm Shadow, Destro and Cobra Commander) to be good, and in a refreshing exception to most modern movies, the fight scenes and action sequences were well-choreographed (hey, amazing - you can actually FOLLOW a fight scene and see what is happening! REMARKABLE!)...
