Isn't the point of a movie to suspend belief and entertain the audience.

The Problem:

I think the problem I'm having is that the article uses the Dark Knight as a cheap ploy for getting readers. The article is pointless and makes the site feel less reliable. I think this article would have been better if it showed movies where the plot didn't work, was pointless, and was unentertaining.

Not to be high brow but I've been coming to this site since it was Cinescape. I don't know if the magazine still exists but I enjoyed getting my movie news from here and the magazine made the site seem more credible. This article may start conversation but devalues the credibility of the site. The solution is to do articles that have some relevance to movie news and what is going on today in film. For example, maybe an article on actors and actresses who don't fit the characters their playing. Or a look at actors and actresses who are really decent but don't get a lot of exposure.

Too highbrow dude. Chill, it was supposed to be funny

Is "Cracked" a sister company to Mania?  I've always viewed cracked magazine as a sort of mad magazine wanna-be.

Anyway.. I always laugh when they have these parody articles up and the uber-nerds (you know who you are) start getting all riled up over it.   I'm sure the author doesn't actually have the opinion he's writing about any more than the onion reporters believe that Obama is depressed over the series finale of Battlestar Galactica.

But in the end, it's probably not really all that funny if you have to explain the joke.  Clearly the answer here is.. if the editors of mania feel compelled to run another Cracked article, they should just shoot themselves in the face...

Sorry, it was the first thing I read when I got up. I clicked on it because of the Joker image and I was disappointed with the end result. I did like the images though, I found them creative. For some reason they reminded me of the game Portal.

Samurai1138 and Wiseguy thank you...I've been saying that TDK was overrated ever since i walke out of the Theater from watching the 1st time.  People have attacked me and told me I didn't know a good movie when I watched one...This article just proves my point all the more and its good to know I'm not alone.

I like the Cracked articles.  They are usually very funny and they entertain me.

While The Joker is crazy, I think the other villians mentined in the article were supposed to be sane (or at least sane enough to have some decent problem solving skills).  Really, why attack someone with a poisonous spider or a remote control car bomb when a less flashy plot would have a so much higher chance of success?

DaMan,  maybe I saw it wrong, but I thought Joker slammed the point of the pencil into the table to get it to stand up.  Then he slammed the dude's face into the dull (eraser) end, which would probably hurt even more, not that you'd really feel it all that long anyway.

And, where's Hanso in this thing?  There's an article on this site that mentions The Dark Knight and he doesn't comment on it?
