Are you ready for a 6-minute prologue to The Dark Knight Rises in two month's time? If what /Film is reporting turns into fact, you may have the opportunity when Mission: Impossible- Ghost Protocol arrives in IMAX theaters on December 16. The website suggests that director Christopher Nolan and the suits over at Warner Bros. Pictures are planning the same type of early preview that they once showed for The Dark Knight back in 2007 when I Am Legend struck IMAX theaters.

It shouldn't be very long before Warner Bros. Pictures confirms or denies this prologue rumor so stay tuned. At the very least, those eagerly awaiting the third installment of Nolan's trilogy will likely have a full new trailer attached to one of Warner Bros. Pictures' releases in December.

The Dark Knight Rises into theaters July 20, 2012.

Awesome if it is indeed true!

yeah like any of us fans need a prologue to help sway our desire to see this!!  I'll take it though,  I'll take whatever early clips they want to show!  Nolan's films are way more than trailer images and there is always so many complex elements to the story that it's nearly impossible to spoil it with early glimpses.

Although I didn't see it, I believe the TDK footage was the whole Bank scene at the beginning introducing The Joker.

Maybe this one will be Bane escaping from Prison?  I wasn't really going to watch M:I-GP but I will now.

No way I'm watching MI:gp but I'll definitely catch the Dark Knight trailer on the interwebs. This movie's going to be be to Avengers what Arkham City is to Ultimate Alliance. I loved them both but I only find depth and storytelling in one.

I don't need extra reasons to see either of these films but it's pretty sweet news.  It would be cool if the prologue would actually be something on it's own instead of being the beginning of the movie like the bank heist prologue was.  It was exciting to see with I am Legend nevertheless.
