Let's not forget President Thomas 'Tug' Benson (Lloyd Bridges) from 1993's Hot Shots! Part Deux, guys!

President Thomas 'Tug' Benson: [He is about ready to battle Saddam Hussein] We'll settle this the old navy way; The first guy to die, LOSES!

He's got my vote, if he remembers to run for re-election!

LOL @ dnbritt!!

I definitely think President Beck from Deep Impact should be on this list, if not at the top.  For me, it was the first time in any medium that an African American was placed in the White House with absolutely no mention of race. He wasn't there as a black President, or as a black Vice President who was elevated to the Presidency, or anything else. He was simply the President in the movie, and he was believable and credible.  He wasn't perfect. He wasn't terrible. He was just The President.  He just also happened to be black.

Dave from the movie "Dave" ; although he was actually a president stand-in I guess, however he sure knew how to deal with the problems the real president, who had suffered a heart attack, got himself into.

You are RIGHT ON Jeffaulburn....I remember watching Dave and thinking...HELLO...just go thru the budget and use some COMMON SENSE!!  And who says the movies are make believe?

haha, yeah as soon as I saw this list it totally reminded me of that film, best film about a Common Sense, regular guy taking office. It's sort of Utopian in a way because that sort of thing seems like it could never happen, lol.

air force one is always a good luck charm when i go on flights. every flight i have ever taken, air force one was on the day before (whether cable or one of the movie channels). i always watch.

But yeah president Palmer is the best!!! every replacing president was a piece of crap...allison taylor is alright, but it seemed like palmer would have picked up a gun and gone after the bad guys with jack anytime. can't say that about taylor

Donald Moffet as President Bennett in Clear and Present Danger should be on the "long walk off a short pier" list.

He authorizes-without-authorizing a covert war in Columbia, then gives-an-order-without-giving-an-order to cut them off and leaves the troops to die.

If you're going to include TV Presidents, you have to put up Josiah Bartlett from The West Wing. Humor, wit, and no problem thundering like a hell-bent mad-man when he needs to.

Does having a bad hair piece count for a reason to impreach - the President in Superman 2.

How about G. W. Bush in Harold and Kumar escape from guantanamo bay?  That may have been the funniest part of that movie
