7 Minute DARK KNIGHT Look in December?

We knew something DARK KNIGHT related would be happening in December. Most of have already assumed it would be something attached to the only genre Warner Bros release of the month, I AM LEGEND. Until now, it was common belief we would be seeing our first theatrical trailer (not a teaser) but it may go beyond that, says Omelette. They're reporting that Warner Bros is planning a 7-minute prologue featuring the Joker (Heath Ledger) attached to the IMAX edition of I AM LEGEND on December 14, 2007.

Hopefully, we shall get a confirmation soon on whether this 7 minute preview hits standard theaters as well for the flick.

7 minutes of Batman Heaven !
Soooooo worth the price of an admission ticket.
Now all we need is for warners to get their $h!T together on the Justice League movie and lock in a group of talented mid age actors and make a Justice League trilogy of films. Instead of the rumoured Justice League film with Teen Titan actors !

That's quite a promise on Warner Bros' part in allowing a whole 7 minutes of the next BATMAN flick. Hard to believe, but we'll see...As for I AM LEGEND...Hope that movie is better than I ROBOT.

It wasn't clear to me from this story that it means 7 minutes of The Dark Knight. It might mean 7 minutes of prelude footage shot just for buzz, not as part of the movie

It sounds to me that it's not a trailer nor part of the movie, but rather an introduction of the Joker and what he's up to so when you see the movie the story is already somewhat set up.

It would be more than fuckin awesome if this was the part of the KILLING JOKE where the man who becomes THE JOKER takes the job with the mob as the RED HOOD to support his wife and unborn child. Have a scene of his bad comedy and magic acts and and a scene where his family is killed in the fire and the mob makes him continue as the RED HOOD while he grieves. Will Heath have a different voice before the chemicals as well?

Ledger looks horrible as the joker. I will save this for DVD as I did for Batman Begins.

Heath Ledger looks incredible as THE JOKER. Much more real than Nicholson did.

i agree, it probably means "prologue" to the dark night film. completely seperate. i don't wanna see film footage before the flick comes out...why ruin the suprise? this technique worked wonders for 28 days later 'cause it was a small film that needed to get the publics attention. dark knight would probably stand a decent chance though with no advertising at all.

and i think SONY's right. ledger looks and sounds awesome as the joker.

PS-- if anyone's read I, Robot, that movie was one of the only ways it could be made into a decent movie. the first 1/2 hour may be generic will smith laughs...but the ending keeps the spirit of the book 100%.

Ledger looks awesome as Joker, But Nicholson did too. It's just like having an issue drawn by Jim Lee, and another issue drawn by Kelly Jones. Both are incredibly different, but both are AWESOME. I don't understand why some people feel the need to applaude one look AND bash the other. They are BOTH true to the source material and both effective and cool. (I also Like Cesar Romero).
Can't wait to see the 7 min trailer, lead in whatever, it'll be sweet.
AND LETS BOYCOTT THTA SWILL JLA CRAP IF THEY USE THOSE SHITE TEENAGE HEARTHROB "Actors". We can do it. put the word out. we all know enough people that we can start an incredible smear campaign. Write into DC comic title that we read. Write into Wizard, and keep showing our hatred of what we've seen so far on all web oputlets. DON'T GO SEE IT (if it gets made with those bullshit child actors) DON'T BUY IT ON DVD (when it comes out) If YOU MUST SEE IT BUY A BOOTLEGGED COPY ON THE STREET. OR FIND A WAY TO GET A COPY WITHOUT PAYING $$$$. One of my all time favorites SNEAK INTO A MOVIE THEATER, that way if you must see it WB doesn't get your$$$.
p.s. Killing Joke while a great joker story had the worst ending of any Batman comic I have ever, EVER read. (which is sad for me because I love all of Moore's other works)

What was wrong with the ending of KILLING JOKE?
