I would be down with all of these. Exo Squad would be fantastic. Some of these are not well known if not most, but I think if you emphasized the best elements of these stories and found a way to keep the budget down people would be down and the studios would greenlight these films. Exo Squad was awesome because it was the first seralized cartoon I ever saw. It was great. M.A.S.K. would be really cool on the big screen.

They've made two Prince Valiant movies.  One from decades ago with Robert Wagner in the title role and James Mason as the villain, and one from the 1990's with Katherine Heigel as Valiant's love interest.

I think Thundarr The Barbarian would be massive cool. Post apocolyptic theme with supersscience and sorcery. But not live action I'd go all cgi something along the lines of Beowulf.

MASK was already made.  Just ask Rocky Dennis.

Pirates of Dark Water!

And unlike the cartoon series, the movie could have an actual ending!

Gauley...as you said, he-man has already been made and so i didn't include it.  Thundercats is also being made although it will be CGI animated (2010).  Likewise Robotech and Voltron are also in development so those left off.    Silverhawks was tough to leave off.

No Captain Planet on this list?  Come on, Captain Planet he's our hero, gonna bring pollution down to zero.

Interesting list, but to make it a little more international, I have a few suggestions.

Firstly, from the UK "Danger Mouse," swerving violently between brilliantly clever and dangerously stupid, but always more than a little surreal. A white mouse in an eye-patch and a rollneck pullover, plus his hamster sidekick in an ill-fitting suit, fight evil. Usually in the form of a toad with a sore throat. Obvious formula really.

Secondly, from Canada (the money's American, but the production's Canadian), "Storm Hawks," one of the best action adventure cartoons I've seen in years. Lots of really nice ideas. I believe there's a plan to launch an MMO based on it.

And finally, from France and Japan, "Ulysses 31," which is an amazing "Metal Hurlant"-style anime mash-up. The series covers the Odyssey, so it actually has a finale, but not every episode on the way has a happy ending. The early 'eighties animation still holds up pretty well, but a new version wouldn't go amiss.

I second Star Blazers. Just seeing the Yammamoto pull itself up from the baked earth and blast into the sky could rival that if the opening of Star Wars or the Galactica atmosphere jumping! C'mon!

Space Ghost after seeing the re-imagined comic a few years ago could be spectacular, mirroring the story of the Lone Ranger origin.
