Plot Summary: The characters of C.S. Lewis' timeless fantasy come to life once again in this newest installment of the "Chronicles of Narnia" series, in which the Pevensie siblings are magically transported back from England to the world of Narnia, where a thrilling, perilous new adventure and an even greater test of their faith and courage awaits them.

One year after the incredible events of "The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe," the Kings and Queens of Narnia find themselves back in that faraway wondrous realm, only to discover that more than 1300 years have passed in Narnian time. During their absence, the Golden Age of Narnia has become extinct, Narnia has been conquered by the Telmarines and is now under the control of the evil King Miraz, who rules the land without mercy.

The four children will soon meet an intriguing new character: Narnia's rightful heir to the throne, the young Prince Caspian, who has been forced into hiding as his uncle Miraz plots to kill him in order to place his own newborn son on the throne.

The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian will hit theaters May 16, 2008.

Good pictures and captions. My kids (and I) are looking forward to this. I'm glad I got to read the captions by the pictures, because I have a much better understanding of what this is about now.

I`ve never read the books so maybe someone can fill me in. In the "real world", is WWII still going on and are the kids still living in that house away from the London Blitzkrieg?

This book takes place about 1 year after the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe in the real world. I assume it must be 1942 (maybe 41) in the book, but I do not remember for certain. I think they have gone back to or are going back to London.

They aren't at the same house from the first movie, however. Someone who remembers the books more clearly might be able to fill you in better, pony.

I don't recall with this book how the kids gain access to Narnia, only that each time, they have to find another "wardrobe" to access the world.

I'll try and re-read the first couple of books before going to see this in theatres.

***Spoiler alert***

...don't read this if you don't wanna know...

***Spoilers*****

You've been warned.

So in the second book, Prince Caspian is given Susan's horn which is rumored to summon help. He blows on it.

The Kids are on their way to school (I think) and are magically pulled into Narnia.

In the third book, Edmund and Lucy and a cousin are looking at a painting of a sailing ship. Edmund recognizes it as a Narnian ship. The notice things moving in the picture and when they touch it, they all fall into the picture and into Narnia.

Book 4 has the cousin Eustice and a girl at school hiding from bullies. They wish themselves to Narnia with the help, unbeknownst to them, of Aslan.

Book 5 is set wholely in Narnia during the time the original children were kings and queens.

Book 6 tells of how Narnia was made. The professor, as a little boy finds some magic rings that take him to another world...there he meets the White Witch. They travel back to London and all hell breaks loose. Young professor saves London by transporting thwe White Witch away...but they end up in nothingness just in time to watch Aslan create Narnia.

Book 7, I'm a bit hazy on how the main character gets into Narnia. But at the end, all the Earthers die in a train wreck and are transported to a new better Narnia aka Heaven.

Except Susan who isn't a gullible twit and doesn't die although C.S. Lewis held out the hope that she might someday become a gullible twit.

Sorry, I really am a fan of the Narnia stories but never liked "The Final Battle", it's too full of the things that make Christianity unpalatable to me.
