8-Minute Gotham News and Alt-Trailer for KNIGHT

Update: The 8-minute faux Gotham News will be available tonight here. A couple of other viral sites had some updates as well today. In relation to the faux Gotham news, Harvey Dent has posted a victory statement at his campaign website and there have been updates at TrustGarcetti.com and DanaWorthington.com.
Original Story: Director Christopher Nolan and those marketing geniuses over at Warner Bros. continue to impress fans with tons of goodies for their upcoming Dark Knight sequel. The latest treats is an alternative trailer, which you can watch below. Another bit of coolness is an 8-minute faux broadcast of "Gotham Tonight with Mike Engel" (Engel is being played by Anthony Michael Hall). The sequel to Batman Begins stars Christian Bale, Heath Ledger, Aaron Eckhart, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Gary Oldman, Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman. Nolan once again directed and penned the screenplay alongside brother Jonathan Nolan.
Plot Summary: "The Dark Knight" reunites director Christopher Nolan with star Christian Bale, who returns to continue Batman's war on crime. With the help of Lieutenant Jim Gordon (Gary Oldman) and District Attorney Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart), Batman sets out to destroy organized crime in Gotham for good. The triumvirate proves to be effective, but they soon find themselves prey to a rising criminal mastermind known as the Joker (Heath Ledger), who thrusts Gotham into anarchy and forces the Dark Knight ever closer to crossing the fine line between hero and vigilante.
The Dark Knight will hit theaters July 18, 2008.
