You know what would be a really awesome ending? If it turned out the flash sideways universe was purgatory and they were all waiting for everyone except for Michael, Walt, Ana Lucia, Mr. Eko, Artz, Lapidas, Richard, and Vincent to die so they could move on to heaven. Libby gets to join the cool kids' table because she kissed Hurley that one time a few years back.
Avast! Am I the only one who thought this should have been spread out over two episodes? Glossing over MiB's 30 years of village life killed any empathy I felt for him/them when they got all massacred (what with us only knowing them as evil from Ms. Janey & selfish from MiB). We were also deprived of some geektastic moments of MiB working with his proto-scientists to figure out how to exploit the light. Who really wanted another Kate episode instead of MiB guest starring on Xena?
I don't think that Mother started speaking English to Claudia. Given the sound effect & camera cut that happened when they made the switch, I think Ms. Janey just didn't want to speak whatever langauge that was for the next 40 minutes so they activated babelfish for us.
I think Mother and MiB are no more smoke monsters then John Locke is a smoke monster. All three of them left bodies behind.
Hurley gets my vote for being the next Jacob. Like you said, Joey O, he's the last innocent non-baby standing (and how lame would it be for one of the three kids we haven't seen in a million years become the new Jacob?)
And if young Jacob & lil MiB don't know what it means for something to be dead, then what are they doing chasing a baby bore with their sharp pointy sticks?
"... from Disney's bemused and decidedly modern take on the Rapunzel fairy tale in "Tangled" to Pixar, Marvel and DreamWorks' distinctive brands and approaches."
Did I miss the part about Dreamworks getting bought by Disney or am I just reading this really wrong??
I like the baby Kwon theory. The strong emphasis on children placed by season 1 hasn't been seen in a while. But you know what else hasn't been seen in a while? Walt's destiny. Are we really finished with him? At 8 episodes left, and the current trend of half-filler episodes, I'm starting to get worried that we won't get a satisfying ending. If it were any other season but its last, this would be a great season. As it is? Well, DS9 was at its best by this point.
And you know nothing about women, Joe. Even with your mug, if you kick a women who digs you out of your apartment at 3am and show up at her place a day or so later with a six pack, then you are in. In, Joe. In. It's like that that time on Prison Break when Tweener showed up at that girl's house to declare his undying love and the cops arrested him in front of her? From that moment on, that dude owned her. You know why, Joe? Testicular fortitude. Sawyer and Tweener both rolled some natural 18s in that stat. I can accept science explaining every other crazy thing on this show, but not Sawyer's rejection in this scene.
Does Claire not count as SLocke's first recruit because she's infeceted, whereas Sawyer chose to follow him? And does anyone else think we're going to get zero resolution on all the SLU threads that they created this season?
"I'm Joe the artist! I ask other people about their animation, but not good ol' AMiSH J. PiRATE who only reads Mania these days because I write the best Lost reviews on the whole dern net!" I'm hurt, Joe. Hurt! ;)

What if the island didn't sink in SLU? What if the island magically appeared underwater after it vanished when someone turned the Donkey Wheel?
dawntreader: That could be interesting if it wasn't the bomb that caused SLU, but what theories do you suggest caused it? I could get behind Jacob's death having something to do with it. I'm guessing Jacob & MiB keep getting thrown back in time to before the Black Rock landed. With Jacob missing from the timeline, MiB is able to go home and the island sinks.
What if Jacob and MiB are Adam & Eve?
Conundrum, you have an interesting thought on Rousseau. The Black Smoke went apie on her comrades but left her untouched. Maybe they became infected by Jacob and she became infected by MiB. Does anyone remember that DS9 episode where everyone on the station became infected by some alien that caused people to split into two factions warring with one another? Is that what happens with the island? Is it impossible for people to live in harmony on the island?
Jack is a doctor first. He went along with the Others using their muddy water because he diagnosed Sayid as dying and could do nothing for him. Now, Sayid is alive and not dying so Jack sees no need for treatment of any kind. Without knowing what the pill is or its intended effect, Jack can't encourage Sayid to take it.
Totally interesting point, Joe, regarding MiB and his body non-possession of Locke. Does this mean he hasn't been possessing Christian Shephard but rather just infected him? So Christian is actually Christian returned from the dead? Can MiB only infect the dead/resurrected? Did Locke become infected waay back when Ben shot him and threw him in the dharma corpse pit? Did Charlie become infected after Ethan hung him and he was dead for a moment before Jack brought him back to life?
With the month later flight in SLU, does that mean the island could have not sunk until that one time Desmond didn't hit the countdown timer (which caused the IBU plane to island bound in the first place)? Did Desmond turn the donkey wheel to get off the island, allowing him to be on SLU's plane?
Presumably, Christian didn't lie to Sun about her husband being in the wrong year. The 70's era survivors didn't time jump back to the present until after that conversation.
And why has no one yet said all of this has happened before and while happen again? Avast! Someone stole Claire's baby and now she's acting all french-womany on us. I be bettin' she hasn't shaved her pits in ages!!

Am I the only one who sees Ultron's face?
