CLOVERFIELD Hits DVD April 22 - Apr 02, 2008 - 10:35am
I do love the studio descriptions.
I have to have those 'heart-racing' special features. Well what if I have a bad heart? Could those special features kill me? If they don't and I hestitate on buying this thing, then that unidentified monster might get me. According to the studio, my prognosis doesn't sound very good.
One of my other favorites, though, not listed here is "if you're a true fan, it's a MUST OWN!" Well, what if I'm a true fan, but I don't want to own? What's going to happen to me then? Maybe I should just buy it so I don't find out.
Thank you and good-night.

Where to start? First, I'd like to point out that Stephen has successfully killed what we all call 'grammar. I had to reread many of these sentences several times to understand what he was trying to say. As an example, I quote you, "but for I’m still with this show." Huh? Not to mentioned the misspellings and run-on sentences. I wouldn't normally criticize this sort of thing, but I've been trying to read these reviews for some time - the key word - 'trying.'
Stephen, you have some good thoughts here, but please just take a few moments and rewrite your reviews so others can understand those thoughts. Don't just post your first draft. It doesn’t make the writer in you look very good.
Hey, someone had to say something.
As for this show, I just finished watching the pilot. I struggled through it. It was cookie-cutter, by the numbers - ABC - network crap. Horrible.
A show about a man who lives forever until he finds his true love can possibly work, but just not in this current format. It should be more of a chick-flick show, along the lines of 'Cupid. It shouldn’t be in the form of a bad cop show. And this, my friends, is a bad cop show. It will be gone in a few more episodes. Guaranteed.
One last thing - again directed at Stephen. I apologize for all the criticisms, but this one I have to take issue with. How can you possibly compare this show to 'Journeyman?' You even insinuated that “New Amsterdam” is a better show than 'Journeyman.' I mean, really? 'Journeyman' was one of the best shows that had come along in a decade and it was an absolute shame that shortsighted network suits canceled it. I'll agree with you that the pilot wasn't very strong, but the show really took off after that. You should have stuck with it.
Maybe I'm wrong and ‘New Amsterdam’ also got better after the pilot. But the way I look at it, the 'Journeyman' pilot was like Shakespeare compared to the pilot for this show.
And I think that about does it. I’m done venting. Please no hate responses. I'm very fragile.
So I guess we can expect it to still suck. No tights, no flights, show bites. -Peace Out
