Hansel And Gretel: Witch Hunters: Totally Witchin' Trailer

Will you go this Friday?

This will be the last Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters trailer I will probably post here at Mania. The film opens this weekend and I would like a show of comments to which of you Maniacs will be attending and why?

I am not ashamed to admit it but Gemma Arterton is my soul reason for attending. Other than that I am not expecting anything better than Terry Gilliam’s The Brothers Grimm

The film stars Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton as Hansel and Gretel. Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters is directed by Tommy Wirkola (Dead Snow).

The Plot: 15 years after their traumatic gingerbread-house incident, siblings Hansel and Gretel have become a formidable team of bounty hunters who track and kill witches all over the world. Renner and Arterton are compelled to track down a dangerous Sorceress (Famke Janssen) before she can sacrifice all the local children to her dark arts.

Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters arrives January 25th, 2013.

I will see it on IMAX this weekend. Why? Because it looks like a fun, mindless movie. And WTF is wrong with that? Not a damn thing, that's what.

ddiaz28 1/24/2013 12:40:00 PM

I second that opinion.  Don't know if I'll get to it this weekend though, but I do want to see it.

It kind of reminds me of Van Helsing but with more of a modern sensibility. I am sure it will be cheesy, but I am one of the few people that actually enjoyed Van Helsing (even though it was waaayyyyy over the top), so I am in.

I liked Van Helsing as well.  It was kind of corny, but I thought it was pretty good for what it was.

I'll probably like this as well.  Will check it out at some point.  (Though I'm not sure my friends will want to see it.)

Not sure if the movie will be any good or not, but the trailers do make it out to be, as others have put it, a fun, mindless movie. And I, also like others, love those type of movies so I'll be there this weekend.

Well, I can't top what's already been said, so I'll just agree with Whiskeymovie, ddiaz28, millean and 7thGuest.

Now to wait for Rob's review of the movie.  Should be a good read.

Will see this Sunday now that the NFL is windiung down.

Oh and in I-Max too, curious to see the new GI Joe 3D footage playing in front of this

I agree it looks like mindless fun.  So mindless in fact , that I don't see the point in reviewing it  (we know the type - but perhaps it will be interesting to see if it gets a higher grade than Battleship).  You guys obviously have more funds than I.  I can't afford to do IMAX for mindless (unless I see it alone).  I think I'll wait a few months and rent the blu-ray disk from Redbox (then hope I don't fall asleep on the couch half way through). I hope the witches put up a little resistance...I don't like it, when the heroes dispatch the evil creatures without working up a sweat or messing their hair.

Never going to see it.  Why?  It looks retarded and life is too short.
