This international spot for The Wolverine is a not the best quality. However, there are a few new lines of dialogue and scene or two we haven’t had yet. This international spot works well, especially for where this film takes place.

The Plot: Based on the celebrated comic book arc, this epic action-adventure takes Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), the most iconic character of the X-Men universe, to modern day Japan. Out of his depth in an unknown world he faces his ultimate nemesis in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed. Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality, emerging more powerful than we have ever seen him before.

The Wolverine features Hugh Jackman, Will Yun Lee, Svetlana Khodchenkova, Hiroyuki Sanada, Hal Yamanouchi, Tao Okamoto, Rila Fukushima, and Brian Tee.

The Wolverine arrives in theaters on July 26th, 2013.

rt has 2 reviews up already in case anyone wants to read.

I also read that the film will have an after credit scene teasing DoFP.

Any insight into the reviews Wise? Good/bad?

I only read the small portion on the Wolverine page. Don't want too many details on the film yet but right now it seems like a marked improvement over the first. But I guess it'll depend on how high expectations are for each individual going in

Despite my grievances of the Fox X-world, these Wolverine fight scenes iv'e been seeing are worth the ticket price alone for me.

Can't be worse than X-men Origins so I'm there!  At least I'll get a glimpse at DoFP in the post credit scene.

tallman 7/17/2013 10:37:33 AM

I was actually talking about Origins today at work. 2 of the fellas who don't read comics thought it was ok and a good introduction to how he got the metal bones/claws etc and not a bad film in general. Obviously I disagreed and explained why.

Do any of us maniacs sometimes value the comics/characters too much at times and maybe forget to just watch the films for what they are? Perhaps. But this said, it's like me enjoying a story about a football club which doesn't tell the true origins and talking to a lifelong fan who knows all.

I'll still see this though as I do most comic films and see how it pans out.

I hear that Josh Helman is portraying William Stryker in DoFP; therefore, I wonder if we'll see the Nimrod sentinel in DoFP?

Tallman, I think that is the main problen with fanboys and comic geeks for all superhero movies. They get upset when it isn't the movie they've made in their heads that ends up on the screen.

What language is that in?  Either way, the trailer voice guy is really distracting and doesn't flow well with the trailer at all.  It would be amusing to hear one of the deep voiced American trailer dudes doing a voiceover in another language.

I'm tired of Wolverine, I want Mania to give us some Magento updates.
