X-Force Movie Coming from Fox

Kick-Ass 2 director to write

By Robert T. Trate     July 14, 2013
Source: The Hollywood Reporter

It looks as if Marvel and 20th Century Fox are eyeing up another X-Men spin off. Last week the Hollywood Reporter followed up their report on the registered domain name X-ForceMovie.com with further details on the new film.

Jeff Waldow, the director and writer of Kick-Ass 2, is now penning a script for the X-Force movie. He is also looking to direct. Lauren Shuler Donner, who produced the X-Men franchise, will spearhead this X-Men film too.

The question now is, what X-Force will we see? Who will join the team? Will Hugh Jackman be in this film as well?

The original “X-Force, created by Rob Liefeld, was a spinoff from Marvel Comics flagshipUncanny X-Men released in 1991. Its first issue set records when it sold 5 million copies (The record was surpassed later that year when X-Men No. 1, drawn by Jim Lee, sold 8 million issues.)”. It's a good thing that Fox doesn't stay true to the source material in this case.  If they were to stay true to Liefeld's vision, do you realize how many actors and actresses with misshapen feet they would have to find?

Liefield was on track to being the best during that time, sad really.  Ego got in the way.

If this is a big hit, belt pouches will be the new style!

Wasn't Cable the leader of the original X-Force?  If they go with the first lineup (Domino, Boomer, Warpath, Feral, etc.), it could be a cool cast...if it wasn't Fox.

How will they find an actor with 52 teeth?

Is Liefeld still around doing comics work? I don't follow alot of what's going on currently.

He was working at DC recently on Savage Hawkman (writing and cover art only) but once again, I believe, ego got in the way and he's out of a job again.

X-Force yes; need to bring Cable to the big screen.  X-force brought to you by Fox?  No thanks!

I have absolutely no Idea, how they can practically bring this (Orignal Team) to the screen.  Not one of these characters have been set up in previous films and how do you introduce Cable without totally F**king his orgin.  What they will try to do, is bring the latest team, just so they can throw Wolverine in the movie. Cause you can't have an X-men movie without Wolverine!!

I would love to see it, but unfortunately, FOX will ruin this Idea also.
