YEAH...the FIRST season was so GOOD and REFRESHING, that you can start to see how the strike and just the NBC marketing machine have just watered it down. I would have been better to have the show about different people finding their powers, introducing new characters, instead of looping the same characters. Maybe have a season of new characters during the same timeline and bring them together at the end of the season or in the 4th season, or something. I want some new characters and keep the overall idea of the show, let the powers and realization of powers be the driving force of the show instead of individuals. Hope that made sense......lol...lol..

ARE U KIDDING me...she is 5'4 and weighs 80lbs sopping wet with rocks in her pockets..... Okay..this has gone off subject, but let me throw my two cents in....First "HOMO" is a derivative of "HOMOSEXUAL",the N-bomb is not a derivative of Black, African American, or any other positive description of black people, so to compare the two is incorrect. I dont want to go farther than that, that should speak to it enough. Now to the movie and books; I LOVED the fact that JKR did get darker with each book, as they grew up and went through puberty, and the conflicts became sharper and more dangerous. The last two movies will determine truly whether they are able to capture the series as it was written. I dont know if they should go BBegins or TDK dark, but close..... Looking forward to the movie

Westend, I agree that Giamatti could have played Joker, but now that the part has been done by Ledger so well, not sure he should tackle it. But I do think Giamatti would do well as ANY villian. I second the comments on the performance of TWO-FACE, I may not truly have given him his due. My order of the best performances in the movie: 1. Joker 2. a. Gordon b. Two-Face 3. Mr. L. Fox I say bring back Mr. Cobblepot(Paul Giamatti) BTW, I know Harley Quinn is not a longtime legend or character in the BATMAN lore, but I have always liked the idea of her character, probably too late to weave her into the story. I think the story line needs a strong women character, who is not some typical screaming, powerless, romantic fill in. So bring in one of the lady viilans; Poison Ivy, Catwoman, or Harley Quinn. At the very end we only see the top of her head...Barbara Gordon........BATGIRL`

Just say the movie for the second time. I didnt see the cameo appearance someone mentioned in reference to Selena Kyle, but I did catch the appearance of another superhero in the movie besides BATMAN. Maybe everyone else saw it also, but nobody has mentioned it.

I believe we can say that "Batman Begins" is one of the best comic book moives ever made. But I think we must drop that modifier for "The Dark Knight", it leaps into the overall category of, one of the 100 best MOVIES ever made. The story and LEDGER are simply stunning! PS - I didnt catch the Selina Kyle cameo, but someone enlighten me, if such a thing happened. Going back to see it again this weekend

Okay, I saw the movie and I give it a B+, but I would give the Ang Lee movie a B-, I enjoyed Ang's version, my issue was with the character and acting of Nic NOLTE (horrible), but anyway on to the new version. There is a bit of a disconnect in the movie and I would like someone to clear it up for me, but this may explain the reported unhappiness Norton has with the final editing, besides the cut Cap America scenes. Where was/is the scenes with the interaction between Banner and Doc Samson? The movie did a poor job of explaining how ROSS finds out that Banner is on Culver campus, there is no discussion between Betsy and Samson about Banner, and you never even get the idea that Samson knows she saw Banner. Is it that I am being too picky? but it seemed the movie was very choppy and showed some of the editing flaws there.

I enjoyed the HULK character in Ang's movie, and I have NO PROBLEM with the new version.....I am just not sure if any actor can really due justice to Bruce Banner...our expectations are probably way to high......we have the TV series stuck in our heads and it will be hard to get rid of that BRUCE BANNER and accept another one....LOVE this TRAILER and now I am excited. But one thing about the story, it seems based on the trailer that BBanner knows of the HULK and unleashes him, instead of him being uncontrollable, maybe we get to see him learn to control it...or the story is not a "beginning of" story...anyway...looks very very interesting

I thought the movie was very very good. ****SPOILERS TO FOLLOW...SPOILERS TO FOLLOW******They took a story of a HUGE monster, which always has issues because except for running from it, there is non direct contact with the monster and the characters. But the MONSTER'S little MINIONS that fell off and then attack people were they key to having the characters actually BATTLE the monster and obtained victories, even if small victories, they were the key element that help the movie. IT was also a key role in one of the mysteries, after being bitten by a Cloverfield MINION the women is killed immediately by the ARMY. I thought the movie was well done and took the old GIANT MONSTER attacks theme and made it work very very successfully, actually turned it into a scary monster movie

I think the original concept, the look and legend of the PREDATOR, make it the BEST VILLIAN/MONSTER of all time....They have completely screwed up a POTENTIAL BLOCKBUSTER Franchise...This battle with the Alien makes no sense, but at least we get to see the PREDATOR again....I thought it would have always been nice to see the PREDATOR on the human side fighting another species, during the NONHUMAN hunting seasons...but anyway....

Well I give this episode a "C" if you rate it against itself, but an "A" if you use the standard of what else is on NETWORK television. What was great about HEROES was the introduction of characters who are everyday people and us watchig them learn about thier powers. Truly, for lack of a better phrase "realistic XMEN". Sylar was not truly introduced in the FIRST episode as a BAD GUY...CLAIRE BEAR'S(lol) Father was. The BAD GUY introduced was an EVENT the EXPLOSION of the BOMB!!!! Our HEROES had a fight right from the beginning an you knew the danger and what the fight was basically about. HERE they try to introduce a new villian and it feels to forced. It seems to be more of a soap opera now, instead of a story, I would have preferred new characters and a sprinkling of the old and pulling them together....IT left us with no direction of where this is going...The HEROES have NO MISSION. Sorry 4got something, which maybe is my fault, or is shows the weakness of the storyline..(lol)..MOHINDER does mention a virus that is killing these MUTANTS so maybe that will be developed. I have not lost faith in the show and will give it abt half a season to see if it can recapture the magic. I understand that many times things for TV are written certain ways to grab the MAINSTREAM viewer,so to speak(sounded a bit arrogant, didnt I...well just to let you know.."I AM ON THE LIST"..lol) ONE interesting thing I noticed, on the DVD is the ORIGINAL pilot that never made it to TV, and in that they had to cut a scene shot from the top looking into a house, the writer was upset, so nice to see he got to put it in with the scene of Matt getting his police badge..anyway I am now rambling....lol

ONLY HEROES watched here....JOURNEYMAN...GEEZ how man times can we do "Quantum Leap"....and most of the rest of the stuff is so retread I just dont waste time on it...anyway..... I was a bit disappointed in HEROES....what I liked abt the first season was the discovery of powers and figuring how the characters fit into the ULTIMATE END..which we saw right at the beginning...I am just more interested in the discovery of power, than a continuing "DAYS OF OUR LIVES-MUTANTS"...but I will give it time...Maybe I have expectations that dont fit for regular TV and should look at it differently...probably why dont watch regular shows anymore....lol....I will continue to watch ...hopefully it will keep its style and edge.

I willl continue to stick by my comments on the 9/24 JLA thread in reference to WWoman.....BEYONCE' or TYRA BANKS...all these actress everyone is referencing dont fit the HEIGHT nor AMAZON like body, they are basically glorified STICKWOMEN......May have to do some work on BANKS' acting (lol, and she is a stretch)..but both much better than any others listed...

OKAY...I am going to go out on a limb here...the Captain Marvel thread had a discussion about the race of Cpt Marvel being white and couldnt be played by a nonwhite actor. I generally agree it is difficult to do that with some characters....But it KINDA was pulled of by Jessica Alba...so here it goes...and I know I am going to catch it for this...but HOW about......Beyonce' or Tyra Banks....as WWomen...HMMMMMM.....OKay...I got the gloves on ...Bring it ON!!!....LOL.

OKay ....how about this...HE WAS HORRIBLE for Walking Tall , because it is hard to take him seriously.......due to the WWF or WWE, but that is what makes him perfect for a superhero. Okay...most of my comments I have said before...Hugh Jackman is a HORRIBLE..WOLVERINE..to frkn small..and this lady, in all due respect would not make a good WWomen....WE need a WWoman with MEAT ON HER BONES..even some Junk n da Trunk....(sorry I dipped to that level..lol), but She is an AMAZON not a runway model or playboy bunny....now I dont want to get to Cartoonish (no pun intended) and go with a ROIDED up bodybuilder or wrestler..but please dont make us live with a bad WWomen...we are already having to Stomach LITTLE WOLVERINE.....

MetalWater..I kinda agree with you on the cop deal...but you may want to look at Washington's ENTIRE CAREER, the number of different characters he has played may surprise you (ex. Mo Betta Blues,Carbon Copy, St. Elsewhere,Much Ado abt Nothing, etc.) One thing for all of us to remember is that actors dont say "hey I want that role" and they get it..but I do think Washington has been type cast LATELY,kinda. Though the new movie with Russell Crowe(originally was to be Brad Pitt by the way) he plays a bad guy...Shadowhammer I REALLY LIKE the "GEMINI PROJECT" synopsis..had to look it up..I missed that one totally.... The original of this MOVIE is such a classic,,,I just hope they dont screw it up...It is very hard to give what the original did considering all remakes like this have to adapt to the changed technology.

Okay going to try to get to my issues without writing novel...lol 1. Seems the casting of Batman/Superman in this movie would be a bit different than then their own movies. Seems we wont see Kent or Wayne, so that aspect wont have to be pulled off...I say assuming they stick to the JLA storyline of focusing on the heros together as opposed to adding in the alter egos 2. Please put a thicker WWomen on screen...for lack of better way to say it...Can it not be some actress so frkng thin she is hard to look at??!!!!....Really go after an AMAZON type woman 3. I would actually like them to keep contiuity with the other films by having the meet each other, come together and then head back to respective cities at the end....with the idea that Supes&Bat knew of each other, but the other heros are new... 4. It is obvious the studio knows it has winners with Bat/Supes so it can afford to hold them off and use this film to jump start revenue not only from this film but the spinoffs.....JLA is like Marvel's XMEN....and will take advantage of spinoffs.... As a HUGE fight fan..I have a great respect for MICKEY WARD...it will be interesting to see how the fights with GATTI are done..one of the best TRILOGY of fights in history....

HMMM...let us see here....METALWATER idea or move idea...MetalWater or movie...HMMMM....NO BRAINER...METALWATER-Hands down....MRJAW, I did get the little bit about the two reasons, I am just not sure how they will carry that through the WHOLE MOVIE....and by the way WHAT THE HUEY is the deal with introducing the TRAILER??? This upsets me even more...that they have completely MESSED up the PREDATOR franchise....PREDATOR is the GREATEST MONSTER of ALL TIME...LOVE the trailer....The first movie was not horrible...not great...hopefully this one is better.....

I dont understand WHY people keep watching THESE movies....TALK about a PLAYED OUT concept and idea.... So many complain on here about new storylines and ideas, YET this machine keeps churning the SAME OLE storyline.....GEEZ....seriously isnt this like "..SOMETHING of the DEAD 27"?
