TEEN WOLF Pilot Moving Ahead (Article) - 9/1/2009 7:54:46 AM

They did the same thing with Buffy and that was pretty successful. Of course the main difference is that the Buffy movie was terrible and Teen Wolf (thanks in large part to the van surfing scene - thank you Hanso) was excellent.

Teen Wolf made $33m in 1985. Not bad, especially for what it was. I'll give the show a shot once.

XXX 3 Has Director (Article) - 8/27/2009 6:39:45 PM

Apparently I'm in the vast minority here... I thought XXX 2 was a million times better than the first. A heat-seeking missle blows up a guy smoking a cigarette? Give me a fucking break!

The only Vin Diesel movies I've ever liked were the first Fast and the Furious and Pitch Black. Knockaround Guys wasn't terrible. Maybe the guy should join the WWE. His acting skills would be on par with everyone else there.

5 Wrestlers Who Made It in Movies and 5 Who Didn't (Article) - 8/25/2009 12:55:46 PM

Okay, I saw Suburban Command in the theater on my 13th birthday. I was the target audience and I thought it was great. Nearly 18 years later, it's still amusing.

Thunder in Paradise also featured Brutus the Barber Beefcake. How on earth do you leave that show out?!

The Condemned rocked.

Both The Marine and 12 Rounds were fairly decent for what they were - much better than most other WWE produced movies.

Dwayne Johnson is the only one to go from wrestling superstar to full time box office gold with what should be a very long, successful acting career (though Race to Witch Mountain didn't come close to comparing to the 2 original flicks in the 70's).

I realize this list is based on opinion, but Andre the Giant at #1? Come on!

SAW 7 Has Writers (Article) - 7/20/2009 12:21:05 AM

Feast 2 wasn't bad, but part 3 was just pure shit. I'm not interested in seeing another movie by the guys who wrote Feast 3. But unfortunately the Saw franchise won't stop until the flicks are no longer profitable.

Hollywood Leading Men Who Started Out In Cheesy Horror Movies (Article) - 7/14/2009 1:01:18 PM

How could you possibly forget Billy Bob Thorton in 1989's "Chopper Chicks in Zombietown?" That was always the first big name in old, crappy horror that came to my mind.

MACGRUBER Movie is Coming (Article) - 7/8/2009 12:05:49 PM

And to ddiaz28, that would be "Cabin Boy" my friend.

MACGRUBER Movie is Coming (Article) - 7/8/2009 12:04:24 PM

This could be a total bomb, but it could also be quite funny. Did nobody see the ones with Shia Lebouf as his gay son? Those were classic! I'm at least willing to give it a shot. Can't be worse than TF2.

TRANSFORMERS 2 Going for $200 Mil (Article) - 6/27/2009 3:10:35 PM

I couldn't agree with you more, Hanso. The fact that the world is rewarding the film makers with so much of their money for making such a heaping pile of shit is just astounding.

We, the movie-going public, need to hold Hollywood to a higher standard of film making. Because we've coughed up so much $ for this flick, we can now expect more of the same from Hollywood in the future.

And to those of you who loved this so-called movie... How will you feel if Iron Man 2 or Batman 3 end up following the same formula as TF2?

TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN Review (Article) - 6/24/2009 3:05:48 PM

Yes Violator, I'm 20 years old. That's exactly how I've been a fan since 1984. Enjoy the flick. Sounds like you'll love it!

TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN Review (Article) - 6/24/2009 2:32:44 PM

Just came back from seeing it. I also have been a fan since 1984, and I actually enjoyed the first (Bay) flick quite a bit. But part 2? It's just plain horrible on an epic level.

Everything that worked in the first flick was exploited to the point that it didn't work at all. Everything that didn't work in the first flick was also exploited to the point that I wanted to walk out. I expected the sequel, especially one written by the guys who wrote the recent Star Trek, to be at least as good as the first. But just when I thought it couldn't possibly get any dumber, it did; over and over again.

This is by far the worst Bay film ever. Even worse than Bad Boys 2.

Seriously, don't waste $10 on this. Instead waste $4 once it hits DVD/BD and then rejoice that you didn't waste more money on it over the summer.
