New Enders Game Image

Zero G with Indy!

A new image of Asa Butterfield (The Road) has surfaced from Ender’s Game. Here we see Ender in zero gravity being watched by Graff (Harrison Ford). The image comes from Empire (see article here) where they interviewed Butterfield about working with the Special Effects.

“It was really good fun. But yeah, wearing harnesses for nine hours, by the end of the day you’re glad to get out of them. It’s really tiring staying up there. And the chafing… it’s exactly as you might imagine. All through rehearsals we would spend an hour each day on the wires. And then we spent a month and a half shooting the scenes. There was plenty of time flying around”.

Synopsis: In the near future, a hostile alien race called the Formics have attacked Earth. If not for the legendary heroics of International Fleet Commander Mazer Rackham (Ben Kingsley), all would have been lost. In preparation for the next attack, the highly esteemed Colonel Hyrum Graff (Harrison Ford) and the International Military are training only the best young minds to find the future Mazer.

Ender Wiggin (Asa Butterfield), a shy but strategically brilliant boy, is recruited to join the elite.  Arriving at Battle School, Ender quickly and easily masters increasingly difficult challenges and simulations, distinguishing himself and winning respect amongst his peers. Ender is soon ordained by Graff as the military's next great hope, resulting in his promotion to Command School.  Once there, he's trained by Mazer Rackham himself to lead his fellow soldiers into an epic battle that will determine the future of Earth and save the human race.

Based on the best-selling, award winning novel, ENDER'S GAME is an epic adventure which stars Asa Butterfield, Hailee Steinfeld, Ben Kingsley, Viola Davis, with Abigail Breslin and Harrison Ford.

ENDER'S GAME arrives in theaters nationwide November 1, 2013

Goatartis, surely the man isn't allowed to have an personal opinion!  What do you think this is, America?!

blankczech 6/1/2013 4:44:14 PM ignitethepages...I'm sad I never read the book...even though several friends have been recommending  it to me, for what seems like forever.  Now I'm afraid it's too late, because it will ruin the movie for me.  I've never seen a movie based on a book that I've read, which was as good as the book.   It's difficult to do justice to a novel in a 2 hour movie, and even though CGI is awesome the effects never measure up to the images the book conjures up in my imagination.
