Good Lord! I saw Xtro in a movie theater as the second-part of a double-bill with 'Evil Dead'.

That is a messed-up movie, with an innovative crab-walking stuntman costume design, and the most disturbing face-fucking scene I've ever seen outside of a porno...

I saw Xtro on late night cable when I was young and damn did it leave a creepy impression on me. I've never gone back to see it again but I'm curious...

Chris beveridge I was wondering if you could clear something up for me about the series Doujin Work. Apparently the first volume came out with only subtitles but the other 2 volumes have dubbed racks. Is this two and does the company that is releasing the series plan to correct this with a box set release. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Also I was wondering about the Eiken manga. I havent heard anything in a year and was wondering if the rest of the series would be put out. Yeah I know its not the best series but what can I say Its a guilty pleasure of mine Thanks

 Hey Chris, thanks for replying!

I totally agree that it should be treated like other shows, and not put out of sight. In Japan it certainly isn't - there is even some hentai elements in "regular" anime/manga there, there is no real separation (other than obvious children's fare) like there is here. They read it (openly) on the train for gods sake. Its just so rooted in the history of all manga (I read both The Anime Movie Guide & The Erotic Anime Movie Guide by McCarthy and I found it good, informative reads, with history, genres, etc etc)../

I mean, stuff like Cool Devices aside, I remember actually watching Urotsukidoji, Kite or La Blue Girl (hell, even stuff from SoftCel like New Angel) and thinking how the story lines were usually good, funny, some of the characters were endearing... I dunno... unlike north-american adult films, it wasn't all about the explicit scenes all the time.

Looking forward to your articles coming, I'm sure it will be an interesting read!

I don't know what made you write this article but it's ridiculous.

I don't mean to burst your bubble or spoil your interests but the way you articulate this---is the same as having a winning battle when the enemy is gagged, blindfolded, and limp.

Take a good time reviewing the series of arguments (and possibly flames) in that article of yours.

Neither side is correct and so is your article. What I'm trying to say here is your article is probably motivated by pure opinion and I respect that however, you are in no position to push it upon others. Your comments are rather rude.

Please, the next time you want to write something about persuading your interest. Make sure that you can back it up and avoid "playing-it-safe" remarks.
