Bale Will Bail if Robin Shows in KNIGHT Sequel - Jul 03, 2008 - 03:28pm
I think Robin could be added into the fray. With Nolan respecting the Batman history enough to keep the tonality of the films dark, it would be interesting to see how Robin would be portrayed within such an atmosphere.
Besides, if done right the addition of Robin could eventually lead to a Nightwing movie(possibly even a franchise of films).
George Carlin Passes Away at 71 - Jun 23, 2008 - 05:00am
The only two people in comedy that made a significant impact to me was Richard Pryor and George Carlin. I've never had the opportunity to see either in person, but after years of waiting, Carlin was finally coming back to Kansas City this October. Needless to say, I had planned on attending.
His satire will truly be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
TRANSPORTER 3 A Go For Lionsgate - Jun 03, 2008 - 04:47am
Good lord. Jason Statham loves milking franchises just as much as the producers do. It seems that he's willing to do almost any film(regardless how bad it may be), just so long as he gets a big paycheck. Is the guy really that strapped for cash? Is all that money burning a hole in his pocket? I doubt it, but considering the guy hasn't said "no" to a bad film yet(Dungeon Siege, Transporter 2, War, and possibly Crank 2), just solidifies how desperate the guy may be for money.
EA Still Wants Takeover of GTA's Take-Two - May 20, 2008 - 04:34am
How much longer will the courts allow EA to monopolize the game industry, I wonder? I mean, they just bought 2K Boston(Bio Shock). I guess when your monopolizing, one just isn't enough.
TERMINATOR 4 is PG-13? - May 05, 2008 - 03:50pm
The last thing I ever imagined doing was sitting next to twelve year olds watching a Terminator movie. What's next? A 'PG' Punisher?
IRON MAN - May 03, 2008 - 06:20pm
What I want to know now that I have seen the film, is are they going to make a sequel to Iron Man, or make a completely new Avengers movie with Iron Man in it?
Doomsday Entering SMALLVILLE, Luthor Departs - May 03, 2008 - 05:59pm
Hey all. I'm new here and just couldn't help but insist that my first post describe my utter distaste for Doomsday in Smallville. Like many within these forums, I have been a long time fan of Smallville. But the ideas that the writers keep coming up with to ensure that Clark stays in Smallville, are just utterly ridiculous.
In the comics, it was John Kent's untimely demise that led Clark to seek out his destiny. But if Clark were to leave town, the show would be over. So to keep Clark in town for season six, the writers come up with a rather half baked idea of rogue phantoms escaping from the phantom zone.
After that mess was taken care of, I found myself thinking, "what could possibly keep him in Smallville now?" Well come season seven, Kara(ala Supergirl)emerges onto the scene because up until now, she has apparently been embedded in the ground in Smallville for all these years. And Jor-El's first assignment for Clark is to look after Kara who just so happens to be staying in SMALLVILLE(how convenient)!
And now for season eight they want to get rid of Lex and Lana and bring in a creature that killed Superman. Seeing as of how Clark has yet to don the cape, and has not reached the pinnacle of his potential yet, the question of "How?" will undoubtedly be the single burning question all throughout season eight.
