New fan of "Heroes"

Okay, so my brother in law had the first 9 shows available because we didn't get to watch them starting out, not really knowing if we were going to buy into the major commercial campaign last summer over this show about "heroes"...
We watched the first 5 shows last night in a row..
We watched the last 4 shows tonight in a row...
Basically, here's my thoughts of the first 9 shows in a shell.
I really don't know what to say on this show. I was blasted away from the way the characters came together(so far) in such a wild way. Some could say "far fetched" by my brother in law loved and collected comics growing up and I know enough of the mythology of comics to understand that these connections happen in the fantastic world that the creators of Heros have weaved together so intricately.
Right from the start, I knew whom my favorite character would be....Hiro of course!
He wears his honesty, virtues and his goofiness on his sleeves for everyone to see and that's the character to love for me but as time goes on, I can see intermixing ideas from alot of characters that I can relate to.
All the while, I see the undertones of the blurring world of "Right vs Wrong". Just when you get started, you see Claire( a young cute Cheerleader) as somewhat disfunctional and then you see the connection of her evil step-father and how he relates to this whole new realm of extra-ordinary human beings. A new birth of society in the way of genetics and there are questions as well as answers to be taken from the story's many characters.
I said Claire's evil stepfather a few lines up. Now, I'm not even so sure about that one. He may have default characteristics which point to "shady" traits but I don't really know his motivations any more because I realize that while he and his haiti minion caught the cop and the radio active man as well as "marked" them, they also didn't kill them or ruin their lives..In fact, the cop came back happy and smiling(albeit a little foggy headed) to enjoy a few great nights with his wife ....before everything came tumbling around him.
That whole mini-plot between the cop and his wife point to the consequences of these powers. At one second, the cop improves their marital struggles by reading her thoughts and put everything she wants right in front of them...A great night of love by reading those thoughts...The next second, everything comes tumbling down by those same powers...the ability to read her mind. Action and consequence.
Mohinder(sp?) is going through the same questions...only it's not "action & consequence".....his is more "action & inaction" in terms of facing one's destiny(his) over anothers(his fathers) and if both destinies can be shared.
I have to say, I've really enjoyed the past nine shows.
I'm hooked.
