First Sherlock Series 3 Photo (Article) - 11/5/2013 6:30:03 AM

They better answer the question about Sherlock and the pavement and the answer had better be good and more or less plasuible -I mean there is some suspension of disbelief, but if he was helped by Kree warrior or was actually a Skrull, they can lick my nether regions because we are done as friends!

Cornish for Star Trek 3? (Article) - 11/3/2013 8:14:59 PM

NEW Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug Banners (Article) - 11/3/2013 8:11:36 PM

Keep the full image of Smaug from us?  Didn't we already see him in the previews and trailers?  Heck a Smaug poster doesn't need to be the full deal.

Granted, a huge lobby poster would be awesome.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: Girl in the Flower Dress Review (Article) - 10/23/2013 11:45:24 AM

Chief demographic is 18-49.  We like a little sex, action and plot in our stories.

Disney has become less prudish over the years and I'm sure this trend will continue.  I'm not saying it's okay...just, that seems to be the trend.

I am starting to like this show a little more, but it's been rocky and the name dropping can get a little old.  This show needs to come into it's own despite the movie universe, and I don't hate the tie-ins as long as it follows in the plot of what is going on and the occasional showing up of 'bigger' names can be good -but too much and then it becomes "what's the point?"

For instance, Sam Jackson?  Yeah, he's awesomej but for the wife and me he was the only bright spot of the episode he showed up in -and becuase of that his appearence felt forced.

We are hoping the episodes just get better and they lay down a thick tapestry of awesome so this show can have a life of its own.

Mania Review: Carrie (Article) - 10/18/2013 11:09:04 PM

Is it more faithful to the book then the De Palma film?  This would be what this movie needs.  Especially the ending.

I'm not as upset about remakes and reboots as I used to be, as long as the update adds something interesting or is more faithful to the source.

Plus, hell, it's not my money.  If hollywood wants to waste its mone on clones, let it.

Mania Review: Curse of Chucky (Article) - 10/7/2013 6:32:41 PM

Dinklage Not the Villain in X-Sequel (Article) - 10/2/2013 8:07:36 AM

Wiseguy, that seems also describe politicians and most leaders too.

Breaking Bad: Felina Review (Article) - 10/1/2013 7:42:13 PM

The ending was as close to perfect as I could imagine.  I always assumed that either Jesse or Skylar would kill Walt in the end.  I do like how it ended on Walt's terms.

As far as Jesse, he very likely still has to run.  His prints would be all over that lab plus who knows if the Neo-Nazi's got rid of the recording of Jesse's confession to Hank and Gomez.  Law enforcement would tear that compound apart.

He could claim that he was a prisoner for all those months and would be a witness to the end of Hank and Steve, but he'd probably still do prison time.  Skyler probably would get a nice deal and do no prison time.  Though her actions that we saw would make her culpable if the law knew, she never got involved in Walt's drug business, except to launder money and she probably could blame a lot of that on Walt as well.

Another Potter Spin Off? (Article) - 9/30/2013 1:03:55 PM

They need to pick up on the Harry Potter story when he’s in his 40’s and a hardboiled private detective. In fact the story should look something like this:

“Harry Potter is a working-class magician, occult detective, and disgraced former auror stationed in London. He is known for his endless cynicism, deadpan snarking, ruthless cunning, and constant chain smoking. A roguish counterculture antihero, Potter is also a passionate humanist driven by a heartfelt desire to do some good in his life.”
